This cake is loosely based on one the bride saw on DessertsWork.com It is a 16"marble with BC filling, 12" french vanilla with strawberry filling, and a 8" with ganache filling. All covered in BC and MMF lavender trim. The florist arranged the flowers. This is my 3rd wedding cake.

Used design from Wilton's scroll separator picture. The bride & her family loved it! I used royal flowers & MMF covered the cakes. This is the easiest wedding cake I've done. Thanks for looking.

Practice Wedding Cake; 4-6-8, 4 and 8 were dummies, 6" is a lemon w/raspberry filling all with MMF. Zinnias from my garden and some copper-colored ribbon i had hanging around the house. This shows me that i definitely need to work with fondant a lot more to make sure it is smooth.

I made this cake for my Gradma Bird's 88th birthday and literally constructed the Bird family tree. In addition to having the last name "Bird," she's an avid bird watcher, so I included a bird feeder, bird bath and birds feeding along the ground. The cake is covered in MMF. The tree was molded from cake crumbs mixed with buttercream then iced over in royal icing. Birds and nests are MMF. Bird bath is royal icing (with a royal icing covered pretzel stick base) filled with colored piping gel for water.

I modeled this after a few I found in the galleries. Sorry I don't remember who. My son loves puppies so I decided to make him one for his b-day to go with his cake. He loved it and every time he saw it he wanted to have it. It is made out of all mmf. I finally have a few modeling tools so it made it so much easier to do the details. I love making models and can't wait to make more. Thanks for looking.

This is my first cake by myself. I did some around Easter with a friend and got bit by the bug. It is a mini heart 2 layer white cake. Crumb coat is BC. It is covered in MMF. My DH doesn't like the taste of colored icing so I just did it in white. It's not really our anniversary, but I just wanted to play around. I thought it looked like an anniversary cake after I got done with it. It has real problems, but for my first try, I am happy with it.

Practice with mmf. Cake is yellow with ganache filling. Top layer a is a small heart. I don't have any small cutters for the fondant so I used what I had. It was a lot of fun. I wanted to make each layer a different color but it is rough on the hands kneading this stuff!

Cake is iced smooth with buttercream. MMF track, green buttercream grass, Gumpaste banner. Storebought Nascar race cars. Cake is constructed by using a 9 x 13 in the middle and a 9" round cut in half and placed on each side of the sheet cake.

I made some MMF and needed to use it so I just sat down with a blank slate and started making cut-outs... It was really fun and my first time using MMF accents. Buttercream could have been smoother but was more focused on the MMF.. MUCH FUN!!! more practice need, but still fun.

Carved from a 1/2 sheet cake, covered with MMF, airbrushed & edible markers for the blended colors. Not my best work, with the details as it was for my son and didn't have alot of time to make this one. Thanks to Uberhipster for directions...it helped me plan out how I was going to do this!

This idea came from a pic that Martig did and I thank her for it! I made a small plunger cake and put it on top of a 14 inch choc cake iced in choc BC with a hint of mint. The plunger was choc cake covered in MMF and the handle was styrofoam covered in MMF too. It was very humid so the fondant was super soft. The toilet paper message was MMF too. I mixed red color with small amt of vodka to do the writing. Everyone loved the idea and the cake too. Thanks CC!

MMF over cakes and to create the initial "E". Lace mold on 2 layers to "duplicate" her gown and simple swiss dots in RI on 2 layers finished base off with a fondant "ribbon". Brushed the "E" and swiss dot layers in luster dust. I arranged the flowers to compliment her shade of orange with mini roses and white lilies. I made this cake for my co worker's sister--they all wanted to know why she asked me to bring a "fake" cake:). Thank you tbittner &prettycakes (CC) for help with the lace mold--my 1st!

My first time doing a naughty cake and first time using MMF. I think it turned out ok. I got all my inspiration from this site and cakes that were in this gallery. Thanks everyone. It is red velvet cake covered in cream cheese frosting with MMF. Next time I will make the penis out of just MMF instead of wrapping a twinkie. Birthday girl loved it though!!!

MMF, petal dust, clear vanilla, toothpicks. My first attempt at making several at a time... wow, these take forever don't they?

BTW, does anyone else have a problem with a slightly bitter taste from the clear vanilla when used to put together/paint the roses? Any tips on other things to use or how to keep this from happening would be most appreciated. :)
