I made this cake for the MCJROTC Awards Banquet at my daughter's school. It was an idea COMPLETELY taken from amandasweetcakes and her incredible interpretation of the dress blues. I changed it just slightly, using a mold to create the buttons and forming the buckle. Thank you for looking-Semper Fi!

Cake I did for an engagement party (I assume anyway). She wanted it to just be white and nothing else on it. I added the scrolly patter at the last minute because I thought the cake was just too plain and ugly. I'm sure you guys can tell it's amateur night, but she loved it! phew!

I wasn't too happy with this one. The gold dust got a bit out of control when I dropped the container. Eeeek!

This was for a Merchant Marine who is from Great Britain. Not a good choice for the flag. I should have used gumtex and made it alot thinner.

Each cake had military logo on it for grampa, dad and brother, for the branch they served in. Covered in fondant with royal icing plaques on top. This was actually a dummy cake I did for a cake show.

Here is another cake I made for my daughter's school. This is a 6 inch round in buttercream. I used a line impression mat on the sides and Wilton chocolates to make the coin and luster dusted them with bronze and gold luster dust from CC. Thanks for looking.

MOG ordered this cake for her son & was ready to pay for it too! She had a statue that we used as inspiration. The eagle was homemade Nicholas Lodge GP (the best!) cake was 5 layers of 10in carved into the mountain look. A large tree was on the back with branches that wrapped around to the sides. The shield was a chocolate candy mold. TFL!

This is my first order from a paying client. Her nephew, whom she raised, was joining the Marines. She was so happy with the cake, she almost cried. It was one of my proudest moments. The cake is basic white, with all vanilla buttercream. I piped the Marines emblem freehand, and was happy with the result. (I haven't taken any decorating classes yet.)

Idea from the many cakes like this on CC. The EGA is fondant from a mold painted w/gold highlighter dust. Cake is 10" (should have used a 12" because of the size of the EGA) 2-layer, iced w/BC. Black & red cirlces are FBCT. Ropes are fondant painted w/gold highlighter dust. Letters are gum paste tappits. For my BIL's birthday. Painting the rope was time consuming & tedious (not my forte!). I wish it was neater.

This is a cake I made for a Marine Birthday cake cutting ceremony. It is a yellow cake, with strawberry filling, and whipped buttercream icing. The Marine seal, US flag, and Marine flag were all made out of chocolate. It is still amatuer compared to those on this site, but I am learning. :-)
