Done for a friends daughter's 8th bdy. French vanilla sheet cake with almond BC. Choc. Care Bear cake filled with choc. mousse with almond BC. What a first time experience!

Bears are made in gum paste and hearts in fondant. With this cake I discovered that you had to be careful not to work figures too heavy, cause they have the tendency to go backwards when you put them in the cake. IÂ´ve heard some people work figures in fondant, but I find that too hard for me.

This was the groom's cake that went with my fondant drape wedding cake. It was a surprise for the groom from the bride. This is his second love - flying. There was a banner "flying" behind the plane that said "Mark loves Becky." Thanks for looking!

Choc fudge cake inside, chocolate bc w/ pink fondant and bc accents. Impression mat on sides. Lettering is royal icing piped over parchment paper on top of printed text. Inspired by Sharon's Sugar Shack.

Marble cake iced in buttercream and decorated with children's candies for extra fun.... the little white swirls are all crusting cream cheese frosting....they devoured it candy and all!!

This was for my 3 year old grandson's birthday. He loves Herbie!!! I used the Wilton cruiser pan. Frosted in buttercream with fondant accents.

Peppermint Cake with Cream Cheese Buttercream and covered with Peppermint MMF and royal icing piping, dusted with superpearl. The Tree is MMF with royal accents as well. The sides of the cake say Peace, Joy, Hope, and Love. I like the overall concept of this cake, but my execution of the idea was not the best. I had decorated my twins' birthday cakes (the choo choo train and mermaid cakes) and had their party the day before, so I was tired!

This is a dummy cake I made for a bridal show. It drew a great deal of attention! I was actually a little surprised. The top tier is 1 Corinthians, 13:4-8 (Love is patient...) the middle & bottom tier are the lyrics to the song DH and I danced to for our first dance at our wedding 7 1/2 years ago.

First, thanks for the help cc'ers! The bottom cake is devils food with raspberry filling, the top is coconut cake with lemon filling. It has buttercream icing with red and black satin ice accents.

Tried the envelope design this year. Saw it on some website a few years back and remembered to try it out finally. Only had to do about 17 dozen this year... added a few cakes instead!

I'm still practicing. I can't figure out how to make roses so I just made stars & put a small white dot in the middle. There was a picture of this cake that came with the heart shaped pan. I used cream cheese icing & buttercream for the pink & green.
