This was my first attempt at making gumpaste flowers and leaves, and integrating them with a buttercream iced wedding cake. The wedding couple requested the Wilton love birds for a topper and they asked me to please include a fresh iris on the cake. The center cake and the bottom cake both had the fresh iris flowers included in the center of the top of each of those cakes.

Delicious moist sponge cake layered with strawberry jam. The roses are made of three parts sugar past and one part flower paste. I designed it for my beautiful daughter but you can make it for 'your' loved one to cheer her/him out.

Thanks to Cakesherway, my bride loved the idea of the vow words on her cake. This is a five tier center cake...largest is 14", smallest is 6". Satellite cake idea from kathyskakesllc. They are 10" and 8" each. Each tier is a 2-layer choco and white with strawberry BC filling. BC frosted, Silk roses. Balloon arch by eLaMenopea Designs ( http://elamenopea.com/ ). A last minute order for a lady that LOVES I Love Lucy -- so thanks to some inspiration from CC this is the design I came up with. I tried to replicate the wine barrel, grapes and writing style. Thanks for looking.

Fondant covered cake. First attempt at sugarveil for writing... traced a computer printed page of writing, then attempted to put it on the cake... airbrused it, dusted it... applied it, and slowly all the words are falling off due to humidity, we think.... Nice while it lasts! multi color ribbon and piping gel border.

Made from 2 cupcakes stacked on top of each other, covered with #233 buttercream strings. Base is a heart cookie and the sign is a smaller heart cookie.
