Wow! Where do I start? This was my first ever topsy turvy. I did it with 1.5 hours sleep. I wouldn't recommend that. If it hadn't been for my awesome DH, the cake wouldn't have happened. He really pulled thru. I know there are areas of frosting, need more design, smoother borders...it could have been done neater all together. Live and learn. I am CSM and as always thanks for looking!

I made this for my brother's birthday who is a Sooner fan. As an Aggie, we like to say "Saw'em off" when we play the Longhorns. The Sooners lost the game today against the longhorns, so that is why "Next Year" is on the horns. I needed 2 more cupcakes to make the horns the right length. I had to make do not being in my kitchen without my supplies. This is a WASC cupcake cake.

Single layer carved cake on bottom covered in MMF. Golf cart is carved from the Wilton car pan and is covered in MMF with gumpaste accents. The cart is a replica of his actual golf cart.

This cake was a total experiment! We had a friend who is a big Longhorns fan (boo!) and he had a birthday so I thought I would try some new things!
This is my first topsy turvy cake - it almost toppled, but I did manage to save it and learned a lot in the process.
The bottom tier is red velvet with cream cheese filling, and the top is chocolate cake with mocha cappuccino buttercream filling.
Happy Birthday Greg!

We were pretty sick of cake by the time my husbands birthday came around, so I made a cookie cake. It tasted so good.

This is probably the weirdest cake I have ever made. My neighbor asked if I could create a cake like this for his wife since she was completing a research paper for this particular fish for her master's degree. It is a white cake that I carved to look like the fish. The horns, lips, tail, & fin were created by using foil to sculpt a mold and then I poured white chocolate into the mold. Once the chocolate was set, I peeled off the foil and then inserted the pieces into the cake. I used buttercream to frost the fish and then food coloring spray cans to make the different colors. It was a lot of fun- I included a picture of the real fish to show what they really look like.

March is Texas month and I made these for the teachers who had March birthdays. I put them in a terra cotta pot with a raffia bow and took to the luncheon.

Found this recipe on the Coffee-Mate/Nestle's website and oh my gosh......I used instant espresso coffee and felt like I was on a caffine "high" the whole time it was baking and when I was mixing the icing. Not to mention taste-testing. Can't wait to cut into it tonight at "D"'s birthday dinner. The decorations are chocolate.

I had made some of these for our teachers who had birthdays in March which is Texas month. Then the soldier that my class and I have adopted from Iraq came home with some of his buddies, so I made more for them and their families! They were a big hit!

This cooler cake is covered in buttercream with fondant accents. It is filled with the grooms favorite drinks. I was displayed on a table with his favorite snacks, bean dip and tortilla chips! The kids kept trying to take the canned drinks all night and the elderly guests kept asking "why is everyone "taking pictures of that ice chest?" The ultimate compliment!

This cake was done as joke for my daughter's youth pastor who is definetly not a Longhorn fan but a Texas A&M fan. He said that if I would have done the cake in maroon colors than MAYBE it would be an ok looking cake...LOL! The Longhorn was done with orange bc by hand no stencil...used a Texas shaped pan.

3 tiered cake. 6 in, 7 in, & 9 inch round. I added the 1/2 inch foam core board to give more height. I liked the way it turned out. Murphy's law was in effect for this cake. :-). TFL

Ok, so I swallowed my pride and did it. As a die-hard Texas Aggie (Class of '99) this was a hard one to do! I can't believe how difficult burnt orange is to achieve! Just another reason I'm glad I'm not a t-sip! Whoop! LOL! Chocolate cake with white chocolate buttercream. It took 1 tub Wilton orange, 1/2 tub Wilton brown, and 1/2 tub Wilton copper! It's a surprise for the groom!

I matched the fondant and icing as best as I could for the burnt orange. I printed out a longhorn image and cut the fondant. Really fun cake to do!
