vanilla pod sponge with matching buttercream. Strawberry and champagne conserve in the centre and drizzles on top. They were by far the best cupcake i have made. Made all the difference using pods rather than essence and the conserve was from Harrods so was really yummy.

Thanks to Jones5cm for the idea! Iced cake, the "stadium" part and the ramps were made from rice krispy treats. I tried cake at first and wasn't having much luck.

The little boy who this was for LOVES Grave Digger but the dad was working on a small budget. I worked less on this cake than many that I do but I fell in love with this one. So much fun.
Chocolate sheet cake, chocolate buttercream icing, graham cracker dirt, and chocolate rock candies. The dad provided the toys.

I made this cake for my friends' little boy James who turned 2. His party was held at the beach. So I made the little hill with James train on it, completed with a cave at the back. I made some cupcakes to go with it cos it's easier to give out cupcakes at the beach. The cakes wow all the children:)

This is a cereal treat "cake". The two boys that I made this cake for have birthdays one day after the other. Usually I make them each their own cake but I didn't have time this year so I split the cake down the middle and made 1/2 for each.

Fondant face made for James the Train cake that won't be complete till this weekend. I used a blogspot tutorial for Thomas the Train to get the gist of how to do this and then looked at a picture of James to try and get the look right.

This is made from 2 12 X 18 sheet cakes. Instead of leveling them I cut an oval out of the middle to give the cake some dimension. Covered it in "dirt" colored icing and rolled the trucks around on it to make tracks.

This was my first attempt at Fondant. I have used it once to try and make a flower. But this was my first time covering a cake with it. I made a homemade marsh mellow fondant. This wasn't for a class but I have been experimenting. I used a blackberry filling and it was heavenly!

This was my second attempt at a fondant covered cake and I am so happy with the results. I am trying not to be a perfectionist so I'm happy :) I made a marshmellow fondant to cover the cake and the flowers are made from a 50/50 blend of fondant and gumpaste. The inside is a wonderful vanilla with blackberry filling. Yuum!

Composite of several different ideas. Buttercream with 50/50 accents. Dirt road is crushed oreos, and the truck is a real toy that went to the birthday boy.
