My daughter requested this cake for her birthday after seeing one on CC, though mine didn't turn out quite as nice as the ones on CC, my daughter loved it. Thanks to all for the inspiration! (The 10 pink dots at the top were to stick the candles in)

These are all the cookies that were placed into a mini hay bail to match the theme. It came out cute. Because the event was outside, it dried out the cookies. I've never had that happen.

This cake was done for a baby shower that will be on St. Patrick's Day. I used the Wilton Rocking Horse pan and stacked two on top of each other to make a double layer cake.

round chocolate cake iced with BC. Vanilla piroutte cookies around the side. The haystack was made with the grass tip. Animals are modelled from fondant. It wasn't until I went to put them on the cake that I realised that I had made the pig alot larger than the lamb and the horse! Oops!

Got this idea from redhotmomof3. Of course hers looks better. Mine has too long of a face, and the mmf, kept tearing in places, but it was fun to do. It is 9x13 stacked, with lamb pan for the horse covered in mmf.

This is for a 4 year old girl, friends of the family. My first inspriation was from the Frosting with Flair wesite (just love her work!) I also used the wilton 2007 yearbook for the awning (though the template is WRONG!) I had to have my DH help me with the engineering for the awning as I found it needed to be very precise! I am pretty happy with the outcome, but I do not know if I would want to make this cake again!! The horses are chocolate transfers. Thanks for looking!

I wanted to try something different for my dad's b-day so I bought some horse rubber stamps and used brown americolor with some lemon extract to stamp the design. My dad loved it. It was a white cake with butterrum flavored buttercream filling and butterrum flavored marshmallow fondant. The frosting and mmf were way too good and I couldn't leave the stuff alone. Thanks for looking.

This is a cake my sister and I did for our sisters baby shower. It was a cowboy western theme. The barn is made out of Rice Krispie Treats with a graham cracker roof. The animals and tractor are plastic from a farm supply store. The cake board is covered with a bandana with a braided twine boarder.

I had alot of questions about how I got the shape and muscle tone. If your planning to make a cake like this look at the photo and draw it on a piece of paper draw in the major muscle features and when you start making the cake only look at your drawing. There is too much detail in a photo to recreate. Try this trick and let me know if it helps anyone.

This cake was a vision in my mind. The "8" is chocolate and the "0" is white cake iced in BC and hand carved from a sheet cake. The cactus were done with royal icing. The cake was sprayed red instead of coloring the icing red. I thought this would taste better and it did but I wasn't impressed with the look of the color. I tried to make rope on the bottom of the cake with BC. This was made for his suprise 80th western party. We all wore bandana's and cowboy hats. He was suprised and everyone loved the cake!

I made this from the rocking horse cake pan for my daughters 6th birthday. The fairy tall unicorn horn was made out of rice crispy treats, had my younger sister who has never done this before help me. Small fingers got into the tail so i added a flower or two.(Had to change battery, forgot to change date, was just done on 4-14-07)

I made this cake for my 1 year old on the same day I made the stacked princess pillow cake for my older daughter ( a double birthday party). It didn't turn out nearly as well as I thought I would, probably because I had been awake baking, cooking, cleaning and decorating the cakes for 22 hours. The horses are made from gumpaste, the cakes are covered in fondant.
