I really like how this one turned out. And it was really simple too. It was when I first realized that you can decorate with things other than frosting! Silly me!

This is a cake I submitted in competition at the Kentucky State Fair. The theme was: Holiday Cake. I love to make gingerbread houses, so I incorporated a handcrafted house into my design. The tiles on the roof are hand cut from gumpaste. I placed third overall! This was my first competition and was tickled with the honor.

this is a giant cookie (16" diameter) and I designed the snowflake with the candy cane rope border. The snow effect is powdered sugar.

I had very specific instructions to bring a red and green Christmas cake to a holiday get-together last year...but I was all out of red, so I improvised! I like how the colors turned out - and the requestor must have too, because they didn't even mention the lack of red. Yellow cake, buttercream frosting, "snowy" edible glitter.

Here is yet another turkey, lol! I didn't have any special pans, I just carved the shape. Iced in buttercream. Wings and drumsticks are RK, peas & carrots are fondant, potatoes are RK covered in fondant. The parsley is real parsley, lol! Thanks for looking!

This was my first attempt at a Turkey Cake. I didn't have the required pans so I used foil pans that I shaped. My wings looked like Batman ears I don't feel the color was right, but everyone thought it was very cool! I used a spice cake and cream cheese frosting.
