Lemon Cake, Raspberry Cream Filling, Covered with Marshmallow Fondant and MMF Accents. Only the second time working with fondant, so a few things I would change, but overall pretty happy with it. Thanks for looking! And a Big Thanks to various CC'ers for all the wonderful ideas and inspiration.

9" x 3" Hockey Puck cake for a Colorado Avalanche fan. Edible image with food marker for the signature. There is cool texturing on the sides of the cake, but I just couldn't pick it up with the camera. This one was an adventure for such a simple cake!

This is a birthday cake for a co-worker who is a Pittsburgh Penguins Fan. The hockey puck is covered in fondant and textured on the side with a wooden dowel. The penguin is made from Styrofoam eggs covered in fondant. All other embellishments are fondant. Enjoy!

This was inspired by all the snowboarding cakes on this website, so thanks everyone. The hill sort of has ramps going down, and man, did the icing end up full of crumbs! The skaters are sitting/lying because I didn't know how to make them stand up with skates on. The figures are fondant made from the wilton yearbook recipe. I used toothpicks to stick the heads on the figures. Trees are cones (cut with serrated knife) with buttercream using a star tip. I was amazed I could make this cake.

This cake is (obviously)for my Dad's B-day this Friday. He always has to work on his b-day so I plan on giving it to him tomorrow instead. It is a chocolate cake with chocolate icing. This was a cake of firsts for me. i just got an air brush system for Christmas & this was my first cake experimenting with that. I also have never made Chocolate icing from scratch, so that was a bit interesting too. Not sure how well I did, but I guess we'll find out. :)

WASC with banana & strawberry filling, frosted in BC with fondant accents. Writing in royal icing. Took SO MUCH blue and black to get the color, and it still wasn't dark enough...everyone's mouth turned blue!! Thankfully it was only family...lol

I copied Virginia's penguin cake for my son's birthday, and my neighbours loved it, so for their son's birthday they wanted a hockey cake with the penguins for players. Their son's nickname is "moose", hence the one moose. The centre is an icing plaque with their team logo (so easy to make but next time I'll make sure the whole thing is flat on the back, because my edges broke off). The net is just cheesecloth stuck on with red buttercream icing. Buttercream icing/piping/plaque, fondant figures&sticks.

She loved the Canucks! I even researched the exact colours and placement on the jersey and pants. The puck even has the symbol (really hard!)
