This is the 2nd wedding cake I made. I can definitely see my flaws!!! Heart shape is not the easiest shape to do, is it?!?! They loved it in every way, but I wish I could have got my icing more smooth.

Gumpaste daisies and hand-piped chocolate hearts for vanilla/chocolate cupcakes.

Top cake was a bit scary! I accidentally baked a 6" cake instead of a 5", so when I assembled the cake on the top...it is actually 1/2" too large all the way around. Thank goodness it has a fondant ribbon base so I didn't have to do a piped border! whoops!!!

I was going to make this for a shower tomorrow and then we had to cancel. But, I had already ordered the Eiffel Tower and had to make "taster" cakes this weekend anyway, soooo I figured "what the heck" and just went all out. I emailed the bride and groom the picture and said "in 10 years, you won't remember that you didn't get to eat the cake...enjoy the picture!" This is my first pink and black cake...I just love the color combo!! :)

I made this for someone who wanted to taste my cakes before ordering her wedding cake. It's just a little 6" heart totally thrown together fast since I had several cakes to do today. It's white almond sour cream with raspberry filling, and the pink borders are raspberry too. My husband said it's the best tasting cake I ever made. Yummy!

I made this cake for a cousins engagement party this past weekend. I want to thank furlund2600 for the idea. She has a beautiful cake that I used as my model. Everyone loved it, especially the bride and groom to be. Top layer is Chocolate Fudge Cake w/ raspberry mousse filling, again recipe compliments of you fantastic people on this site. Bottom layer was French Vanilla cake which I divided in half with BC. Filling on one half, coconut/pecan and other half chocolate bc.

I made this for a "Death by Chocolate" auction that I *thought* was 3 days before Valentine's Day. Turns out I was mis-informed on the date by about a month. My friends and I really enjoyed this cake. :-P

This is not a very good picture, I know, but I found these cute melamine plates at Target. They had different colored hearts on the plate, so I used fondant to cut out different colored hearts to match it! The cake is chocolate fudge covered in MMF. I used the smallest heart pan from the mini-heart tier set.

Not sure that you can tell from the photo, but some of the cupcakes are heartshaped. Chocolate cupcakes with real butter buttercream.

This was my first wedding cake ever. I was so happy with the way it turned out. The bride (my friend's mom) gave me the topper, and said I could do whatever I wanted. Pretty cool way to do a first cake. It's one of my favorites to this day.

A very traditional Anniversary cake done for my daughter's teacher, whose parents were celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They are a very religious family and wanted a reading from the bible included. Not being a church goer, this was a daunting task, also, not having any experiece piping with royal icing and I was nervous to say the least.
