This cake was for a 17 yr old young lady. I struggled with not making it too childish or to mature. She was happy with it. Chocolate cake with choc ganache filling, buttercream icing. Comments appreciated.

French Vanilla Cake with Buttercream frosting and Strawberry Cream filling. It was awesome!! This is my 3rd cake. I used the paper towel to smooth it. I think it turned out great.

I made this cake for my office's February Birthday Celebration. There were a lot of SNAFUs, so the actual cake came from Safeway. I called and bought undecorated 9" rounds. I hated to have to do that, but desperate times call for desperate measures. So it is yellow cake, buttercream icing and edible pearls. I hate using buttercream, but my office does not want fondant on cakes because they are afraid people won't like it.

This was a cake I made for a belated Valentine's Day celebration for a kid's playgroup. It was all chocolate with all buttercream. I used the sweetheart pan and part of half of a ball pan. I wanted the "valentine" to look like the little kid made it so the writing is messy. The customer loved it!

Just a chocolate fudge cake with ganach icing, the bottom is a heart carved from a 6" round and the top heart was just cut using a cookie cutter and finished off with some chocolate dipped strawberries

this was a cake i did for some friends that work at a store. there is 4 people that work there and 3 of their birthdays was in february. so i decided to make a cake for all 3 of them at the same time. it was practice for me and also special to them. i cheated on the icing for the roses. i went to wal-mart and got the wilton can of icing and it worked great. not the best tasting but it worked. they all loved it and i was "VERY" pleased with the outcome of it. the first cake i am truely happy about.

11X15 yellow cake w/ buttercream icing. The center heart is a plastic pop top and the lower hands and feet were piped on with buttercream and smoothed. I just piped in heart and star decorations around the side.

I had these 2 Chocolate heart layers in my fridge and figured I'd take'em to work tonight. So I did a quick decorating job on them and Voila! Here they are and now my freezer is clean! :)

6, 9, & 12" heart iced and decorated in buttercream, flowers are buttercream also. top and bottom tier are quilted and middle tier has small piped hearts.

Banana cake, banana cream filling, and cinnamon cream cheese icing. Royal icing butterflies painted with luster dust. Flowers were left over from course II class :). My mom loves butterflies so I thought this would be fun cake for her birthday.
