This was a fun cake to make! Thanks for all the inspiration here on CC! The "bun" part of the cake is yellow cake and the hamburger part is Chocolate. I used the sportsball pan for the top part of the bun and an 8"round for the bottom. The fries are made of MMF......along with all the other decorations. I would love to do this cake again!

First off thanks to those for all the inspiration here on CC for all the burger cakes. I was going to airbrush it with more color, but I chickend out LOL... was worried I would mess it up.*sigh*.. going to practice that more :) The board is covered in fondant and "painted" on with Americolor and a tad bit of Vodka to resemble a table cloth. The chips were cut with a circle cutter then streached oval and rolled with a smocking tool. TFL

I made these along with a watermelon cake for my sons 2nd birthday. I also made a few with red and white squares (to look like a picnic blanket). I used sugar cookies for the buns and colored frosting for the burger and hot dog part!

This was made for my husband's office cookout. The figure represents his boss who hosts the event at his home each year. The figure is my tallest standing so far... he comes in at 8 inches! The grill is RKT covered in fondant, spaghetti grate, sugar crystal coals. The board is covered in individual squares cut to resemble check tablecloth. Buttercream except for the cheese slices and olives. The patty is a brownie. Bottom layer and brownie were baked in 8" rounds. Top bun is carved bowl cake.

I made this for my husbands 34th birthday. The bun is covered in BC, the lettuce is MMF, tomato is round biscuits covered in red icing, onion rings are rolled out jelly beans cut to shape and the cheese are orange fruit chews put in the microwave for 5 seconds then rolled out and cut to shape. The meat part is covered in buttercream and crushed oreos and chocolate biscuits. The sesame seeds are pine nuts and the olive is two green jubes stuck together and a bit of red licorice. It was a lot of fun to put together and was pretty simple.

This is my first assignment at my new bakery job. It's a dummy cake. I dropped it off this morning and the owner was thrilled. HOORAY! I was so nervous my stomach was upset!
First time with Satin Ice and I had some trouble with the fondant turning to alligator and cracking. It has a little royal icing plaster to hide the cracks. Overall I'm happy with it.

My son wanted his 12th birthday cake to be a hamburger - buns are yellow cake, patty is devils food. Buttercream icing with tomatoes made of candy melts. My first cake to stack after the layers were iced - I think it turned out pretty good for the novice that I am!

These were inspired by the amazing Bakerella! She had these and all the how-to instructions on her blog. I had to try them out as my dad is a HUGE hamburger and french fry kinda guy!! The buns are yellow cake mix cupcakes, the burger is brownies, the french fries are sugar cookies coated in sugar and the ketsup/mustard are frostings colored to match. Oh, and the lettuce is fondant. So fun!! My husband bit into one just like a burger and said, YUUMMY!

This was my first attempt at a burger cake. I made it for a local fair and then raffled it off. Bottom bun is an 8" round french vanilla cake cut down to 1" high, then covered in fondant and airbrushed. Burger is a 10" chocolate fudge cake carved down to about 9" round and then covered with dark chocolate Satin Ice. Top bun is a french vanilla 8" round that I left domed and carved. Covered in fondant and airbrushed. Airbrushing was done with a combination of yellow, flesh, and brown colors. Tomatoes are fondant with the "sections" carved out, yellow seeds added, then piping gel put on for the wet look. Lettuce is fondant. Cheese is also fondant rolled out with shortening.
