This cake was made for my cousins halloween/birthday party. It is a vanilla cake with chocolate pastry cream and covered in vanilla buttercream. I airbrushed the color onto the cake and made the letters with royal icing ahead of time. The cauldron is made of cake and then covered in black fondant and dusted with petal dusts for the old look. The green goo is colored piping gel and the eyeballs, bones, ghosts, cat and pumpkins are made of fondant or gumpaste.

This was made for my son's Pre-K fall celebration, 2005. This is actually the first cake I make using a specially shaped pan. It was easy but making so many little stars sure makes you tired!

I made this for a friend's boyfriend's birthday. I used the basic instructions for the Frankenstein cake from the ACD email newsletter. The cake is chocolate pound cake III from this website, and it worked quite well for carving, even though it was a little crumbly. Anyway, I think he looks like a middle-aged geeky guy, but I suppose it takes all types to make zombies.=)

This cake was decorated to match the home of the lady who ordered the cake and decorated with a spooky twist for a Halloween Block Party.

The cake is a vanilla pound cake that was made from scratch with buttercream icing and fondant was used for the ghosts, shutters, and other decor.

I made mini cakes for my coworkers for Halloween. These are 4" rounds, butter cake, 1 layer, torted and filled with pumpkin butter. Buttercream icing covered in fondant. Some turned out better than others. I think this was my 4th time working with fondant.

I made these Frankenstein cakes for a Halloween Party this year. They were made with the mini Spongebob Pans. I thought the shape was perfect. I used M&M eyes and mini marshmallow bolts on the side. Everything else is buttercream icing. I even tinted the vanilla cake green!

Sportsball pan and cupcakes. This was for my daughters b-day and it was the first time I used the sportsball pan. I didn't realize the pan was so small so this is what I came up with to fill up space.
