This cake was for an epilepsy foundation fundraiser in Rochester, NY. The event was at a garden convention and the theme was Drama in the Garden. It is a 12 inch single layer, 8 inch two layer tier, 6 inch 2 layer tier. I purchased four basic plastic masks, covered the basic face area with gumpaste, let it dry, took it off, then re-used the masks to create the crowns so each crown would correctly match the contour of its matching face. Painted crowns with luster dust mixed with lemon extract.

Here is my final from the gumpaste/fondant class. It was my instructors first time teaching it and she did great. It was a lot of fun working with gumpaste since I had never done so before. Marble cake, BC filling, covered in buttercup yellow MMF, gumpaste daisies and leaves. Any comments are welcomed.

The theme for this shower was yellow, lime green, and turquoise, and airplanes!!! Yikes!! A 6" and 10" cake, with whipped icing. Gumpaste stars and 2 large airplanes made ahead of time, and stuck on thick craft wire. Banner made of gumpaste, writing with royal icing, and hand painted with gold luster dust/lemon extract. Bear on top is made of Sculpey clay (non-edible), so mom-to-be could have a keepsake. Planes on side of cake are chocolate molds.

I made this cake for my mom's birthday. She collects miniature shoes so I knew I had to try it. The gumpaste shoe I made broke in half so I took the good half and had it poking out of the shoebox. 8x8 2-layer cake cut to proper dimension and covered in fondant. The lid is made from styrofoam and the shoe sticking out is made out of 50-50 gumpaste/fondant

Finale cake for the Wilton class. This was homemade fondant from a recipe I found in Colette Peters' book. Turned out great and MUCH more tastey than pre-made!

I made this cake for my daughters bridal shower. 2 tiered with my first gumpaste shoe on it. I put her fiance's name on the shoe lining and the little sign on the front said " Prince Charming finally found me". Every one loved it...elegance with humor!

I really don't know how to describe this cake other than being very eclectic. The bride liked a lot of different design elements, but could never make a final decision, so she told me to do what I wanted. Fortunately she loved it. Buttercream with gumpaste roses and loops, fondant grape leaves dusted with pearl dust, silver dragees and ribbon that the bride provided.
