This is a baptism cake for my daughter. Frosted in buttercream with fondant ribbon and gumpaste flowers. It's hard to see, but the top is gumpaste flowers in the shape of a cross with a pearl border.

This is a practice cake my daughter and I made the other night. We wanted to try rolled chocolate. It was easy and tastes delicious! We also practiced gumpaste flowers and these daffodils which we put on top. We added choc ribbon roses and were surprised at how pretty (but simple) it came out. When there's no pressure amazing things can happen!

The 10 & 6" tiers are iced in buttercream. Tulips are made from gumpaste using the Wilton instructions from their gp flowers book. This is a design from an older Wilton yearbook. There is a mini 1/2 ball under the top bouquet of tulips. Some of the leaves are gumpaste - other piped in b'cream. Sorry for the poor quality of the pic :(

This was my other entry to the Queen City Sugar Arts Show. It took first place in Techniques Not on a Cake - Other, and Best of that Division. It was created from both light and dark gingerbread. All flowers are created from gumpaste. I just wanted to set out to show that Gingerbread is NOT just for Christmas! Special thanks to Fairytale for helpful pointers regarding competing with gingerbread! Thanks for looking!

I entered this cake in our county fair and won first place in the decorated cakes category. I made bluebonnets, black eyed susans, and pink primroses, which are Texas wildflowers from gumpaste. TFL!

This cake started w/ some major inspiration from Lizrussell's (sp?) purse cake. Thank you! Gumpaste flower w/ sparkles, fondant board. carved from an 8" square, about 5 torted layers tall. Inedible crystals, just needed some real bling. ...Thanks for looking.

This is a fake cake. I was going for a spring-y look: Blue skies, green grass, and pretty flowers. I think it turned out Ok. Flowers are gumpaste.

It's not perfect but I was SO happy with the way this cake came out! It's only my 3rd wedding cake and the best by far. It was my Aunt's wedding cake and my Mom who has become interested in cake decorating helped me. She made the pleats and some of the gumpaste flowers. (she's never worked with fondant like that before!)

This is the third cake I've made since taking two classes this year. I made it for Easter/my mom's birthday. It's also the first time I've used the basketweave technique. It's a French Vanilla cake with bavarian cream/raspberry filling and iced in BC with BC roses and grass along the bottom. I made the flowers on top from gumpaste and put them over a bed of buttercream grass with mini eggs and finished off the cake with a few chocolate bunnies. I copied the idea from chefjared's cake on cc (Thank you!) and was really pleased with the way it turned out.

An Easter Cake; the drape represents the cloth that was found when they went to the tomb to find Jesus and found only the cloth that He was wrapped in. He is Risen Indeed! All flowers were made from fondant.
