I had a blast with this cake. I have done a hello kitty cake before, but I was given so much more room to do what I wanted to with this one. I helped another Baker on island. I enjoy just jumping in when she needs a few extra hands. Here is what we came up together with. CSM

This cake was made at the last minute for a neighbor's birthday. Each tier is one layer, sour cream pound cake, bc icing and MMF. The flowers are MMF roses that I made with not much time for them to set up. My family said it looked like a Mardi Gras cake!

This is a birthday cake for one of my best friends, and I wanted to give her a spring time cake since here in Edmonton, her birthday is still in the lingering wintertime. It was a great excuse to try quilling for the first time too. I used a metal clay gun, and it was a little rough on my hands after a while, but I do like how it turned out.

I made this cake for some twins who were turning 15. They wanted a cake to match the plates they had for the party. It's the same all the way around except I put their names on a side of the cake to make it separate for them.

Thanks for looking!

I kept this cake very simple. I stuck with the theme colors (green, purple and a bit of yellow) then topped it with a big pink baby bop bow. All fondant home made; bow is gumpaste. I wanted to do so much more with this cake, but time was not on my side. TFL

I surprised myself when I made this cake.. The princess doll is in a giant cupcake. The cake was going to only be the giant cupcake and the bottom cake was not suppose to be included but someone called and canceled an order they made. So, since I already baked the cake I just said okay let me just make the bottom piece a grass and have the princess in the middle.. The birthday girl was excited to take it to school and show it off the following day..

The cake is covered in MMF. All other decorations are modeling chocolate except for the butterfly. It's made from chocolate. It was my daughter's 9th birthday cake. All the older girls at the ballet school thought I was a professional baker. Maybe I should be?

This was for my darling 3 year old. I used MMF and everytime I use it, I HATE it! It always makes my cakes bulge out all weird, does anyone have any suggestions? I am so mad at myself that I didn't use Satin Ice like I normally do, my cake would have turned out much better :(. The topper is a gumpaste flower with a scrapbook sticker for Tink.

I recently decided that I needed to work on another display cake, but I've been busy and haven't had the time. I had a bunch of sage green fondant that I had trouble getting to work on another cake for a customer, so I thought I could use it to make a display cake.
We didn't have many cakes this past week, so I started work on this display piece. I had originally planned to use brown ribbon and create some kind of dogwood type flower, but got this wild idea after finding the ribbon that is around the bottom and on the separator pieces.
The cake is a 4"/8"/12" combination. I cut all the flowers with cutters I already had. I used my clay extruder to make the stems, and then all the flowers were hand painted. I tried to make them look like they do on the ribbon.
The flowers are silk. I need to work on my flower arranging skills!
All in all, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Strawberry cake & cupcakes with buttercream icing in green. Recreated from a picture that the customer had found. Flowers are silk, customer did not want to pay for sugar flowers, but I thought it turned out really well nonetheless. Placed on the Wilton tall tier cake stand for display. TFL!

My first time dying my cake batter, I am fairly new to cake decorating all together. I used wilton decorator icing instead of fondant because I was tired and really just making the cake to practice the rainbow batter. The Roses and balls are fondant, I like to do roses out of wilton fondant cause the edges never crack.

This is my first attempt at making a zebra striped cake. It is for a girl's 18th birthday. Her favorite colors are green and purple. Iced in buttercream with fondant accents. I got the idea from a picture on here. I appreciate all comments.

This cake was designed to coordinate with the invitations of the shower. The butterflies were made of gum paste and lightly lustre dusted with pearl and then lightly dusted with gold and purple disco dust. It has a sugar coated look to them that doesn't show up well in the photos. Why the darker butterflies look blue instead of deep purple I don't know. Anyway, the cake is 3 tiers of vanilla with raspberry filling and buttercream icing.
