For my mum - she was given bracelet charms for her birthday so I made "charms" for the other girls too! The real charms were added to the cupcakes for effect ;o)

Although I changed a few things, I got my inspiration from a cake here on cc done by LolaT (Thanks!) All of the white elements had edible glitter on them but it doesn't show in the photo (although in person it was VERY visible and looked really nice). TFL

I was asked to do a Valentine's Day cake for my granddaughter's preschool class. I was asked a day before the cake was due and had 3 other cakes I was doing, so needless to say, I was in a crunch. This was what I came up with in the end. I was so glad I was able to do this for my granddaughter and her class. Chocolate and yellow butter cake layers with buttercream icing and fondant accents. There are candy conversation hearts around the top tier.

One of the quickest cakes I have made, a present for my other half. I used a sugarcraft gun/extruder to form the ribbons which I wove over a marzipan heart covered in sugarpaste which I coloured with extra strong red paste colour to get a true red. I sprinkled black edible glitter over the piped black icing.

This is one of my two cookie entries in the Austin Cake Show last weekend. Still painting, half blind, and sleep deprived at 3am the morning of the show, I decided they reminded me of my high school science project. Revised my opinion after a few hours sleep but too late to change my theme...
