I made this cake for my uncle's birthday. It was a three-layer chocolate cake (soaked in a strawberry syrup) filled with a dark chocolate ganache. The cake is iced in a chocolate buttercream, drizzled with chocolate candy melts, and topped w/chcolate covered strawberries. Thanks for looking!

I made this simple cake for my "retirement" , actually it was my going away party that my co-workers are throwing me. I just wanted to make something to say "thank you". It's confetti cake, with whipped dark chocolate ganache filling, dark chocolate buttercream, and I used the VIVA technique.

Covered in ganache, no filling.. Looks like a grooms cake but was made for the mother of the bride. She is allergic to wheat so i made this for her... i had to double the batch and use a smaller pan than suggested just to get it THAT thick.. gluten free recipes do not rise...

Yet another ganache cake. I hadn't ever seen a cake like this until I found CC. I made this cake once and now people around here have been requesting it a lot.

I thought I had learned my lesson that if I was added strawberries to whip cream or icing and was going to pipe with it, that I would need to run the strawberries through cheesecloth. Nope. Forgot and it looks like I can't write birthday. Oh well, I promise I'll remember for next time. White Almond cake with choc. buttercream, choc. ganache, and strawberry whipped cream.

I loved this idea... When my bride said she wanted fresh fruit I instantly ran with this idea. She wants it square though so am working on her. Thanks for looking... Stats: Raspberry Cake (BUttercake w/ raspberry oil, curtiousy of www.getsuckered.com), Ganache filling with cream cheese frosting... It was perfect

This was for a customer's family. They are sending their parents to Ireland for their 50th anniversary, & they were going to tell them about the surprise at the birthday party for her father. This is a full sheet cake: 1/2 butter cake, 1/2 chocolate cake, filled with a chocolate ganache. The edges are dripping with ganache & the writing and the map of Ireland is made of candy melts. The icing cracked a bit, but in this case I kinda thought it was okay. It made it look like a wrinkled treasure map to me

A clearer picture of one I had posted earlier. 4 tier chocolate ganache and fondant "peeling" from each layer. A replica of an Edible Arts (Raleigh, NC) cake that the bride fell in love with. She was so happy with it...she said it was as good as the picture!

This is a cake I made this weekend for my nephews birthday- Needed to smooth out the ganache on top more (got side tracked with my 4 year old) but everybody raved about the taste- Chocolate cake filled with whipped ganache & whipped cream cheese- I used crusting buttercream for practice before I put the ganache on top.

Just a small cake for a friend who just had a baby. It was my first time with ganache and I don't mind that it's not perfectly smooth, but I'd like a little more smooth than this. My border is stinky, but I was piping with mousse (in Florida) and my body temp is just too hot for anything to hold up. Despite all that, I like it! I think it's simple enough and I love the vibrant purple/yellow/green. Everything chocolate: cake, mousse, ganache.

Client provided invitation, so used those colors, but otherwise was left to create freely, they only requested chocolate cake with white frosting. Triple chocolate cake with ganache filling, BC icing, fondant accents, molded chocolate baby bottles and teddy bears. Fun to make for a first baby shower cake! (Only 3rd paid order, am loving this!!!) Thanks for looking!

This is my favorite cake - opera cake - which is a chocolate cake soaked in coffee syrup with choc/mocha buttercream filling and frosting - all covered in ganache. Yum! Decorated with chocolate buttercream and royal flowers.

my husband just left overseas and I made this for a romantic dinner. I had wanted to try experimenting with a triangle cake and used 8" & 10" square pans then did a diagonal cut and stacked them. this was the first time I made ganache and it was easy, but I think it's too much choc when covering a whole cake (cake was red velvet with cherry filling)

This is a "zebra cheesecake" it's not a recipe as much as a technique. It alternates chocolate and plain cheesecake from the middle out. I poured ganache over it. Thank you all for your ganache help!

This was made for my mother's birthday cake. 3 layer chocolate cake with raspberry/currant filling and ganache (whipped and drizzled). The flowers are live cosmos. I had made gumpaste tulips, but our flowers are so beautiful now I wanted to take advantage of them. Thanks for looking.

Idea from here. Not the best looking. Had to do this in 1.5 hours....barely enough time to bake and cool. Ganache did NOT have time to cool to be as thick as I would like before icing the layers. This would be a chocolate lovers dream...very rich. I wanted a gallon of milk after a bite. Strawberries were my favorite part. I made a Ganache and combined a fondue recipe that I love (using cinnamon, vanilla, and coffee). I think I would do this as a single layer cake next time due to the richness. Live a learn!

These cakes were done to give away to some friends to help get some orders in. They are chocolate cake with buttercream icing (made with amaretto coffee creamer) and homemade caramel sauce and chocolate ganache. I made three of them but gave one away before I remembered to take a picture.

My first time trying chocolate ganache. I used chocolate buttercream to decorate. I put the upper border on before the ganache had set up fully and some of it slid right down the side of the cake making a bit of a mess. I added some swirls on the side to minimize it. I think my buttercream for the roses was a little too stiff, still learning!!
