These were inspired by the amazing Bakerella! She had these and all the how-to instructions on her blog. I had to try them out as my dad is a HUGE hamburger and french fry kinda guy!! The buns are yellow cake mix cupcakes, the burger is brownies, the french fries are sugar cookies coated in sugar and the ketsup/mustard are frostings colored to match. Oh, and the lettuce is fondant. So fun!! My husband bit into one just like a burger and said, YUUMMY!

My second attempt at a cake, and my first time trying to cover an entire cake with some fondant I made. The flowers were fun to make, I learned by watching YouTube videos xD Made it for my grandma's birthday!

Based on the Martha Stuart cake. Fondant covered with ribbon and silk flowers. Very proud :)

Three tier vanilla bean cake with whipped cream cheese and fresh strawberry filling. The icing is French Buttercream, and the mortarboard, diploma and letters are molded from homemade gumpaste.

The bun on this cake is white. The hamburger pattie is chocolate cake and iced in chocolate buttercream icing. All of the condiments including the cheese are done using MMF. The French fries are white cake covered in buttercream icing and MMF. The ketchup on the fries and puddled on the cake is royal icing. The 1/4 sheeet cake is a spice cake filled and iced in a cream cheese icing. The flowers are MMF.

i made this cake for a friend's parents' wedding anniversary. he wanted to recreate the scene from where they got married. the cake is french vanilla with sugar-free mary kay frosting and fondant accents (the tree is plastic). thanks for looking!

This cake was for a bridal shower with a bed & bath theme. They decorated in shabby chic blk, wht, red and silver. The 'mattress', lg pillows and trunk are yellow cake. Everything is covered with rolled fondant, including the 'hardwood floor' =) The cake was VERY well loved!

Fondant covered cake for a friend moving to Paris. Tower in royal icing. The sides had gumpaste plaques with "important" French words.

I made 50 of these for the youth group at our church. The hamburger is a yellow cupcake cut in half, a brownie cut out with round cutter, yellow, red and green icing for the ketchup, mustard and lettuce. The fries are cookies. I used the instructions from Bakerella's blogspot including the templates for the trays and french fry holders. The tissue paper I used my own template and printed on tracing paper. This was time consuming because the paper kept getting stuck in my printer. Thanks for looking.

A Tour de France cake for a cycling lover's birthday. The cake is all red velvet with vanilla buttercream icing. The mountians are made from miniature "wonder mold" pans thet I cut into different shapes & stacked around the cake.

This cake was made to match the party decorations the customer found in a magazine. Buttercream with fondant accents. The small cake was made for the one year old to tear into! Made to match the party plates.

Hamburger "meat" and fries are sugar cookies. Ketchup is piping gel w/ red color added (in a small white dip cup). The condiments and veggies on the burger are icing or gum paste. The bun was made with the round ball pan using white cake and no icing on the outside (it's iced of the bun for decoration - mayo - and flavor). Buttercream icing on the rest.

The condiments are all fondant, sugar cookie french fries, red frosting for the ketchup. The coke is a mini chocolate cake shoved into a red cup upon which I wrote the coke-a-cola logo in whiteout.

This is my FIRST wedding cake. WHEW! Sour Cream Pound Cake with Lemon Cream Cheese Icing. Orchids are gumpaste. Colors chosen by bride's sister. Design by me. Idea for color gradation, Cake Central Members. (Thanks everyone! You guys (and gals) ROCK!)

Hamburger buns were made with jumbo muffin tops, patty is just chocolate frosting. Cheese and lettuce are also fondant, torched the cheese to make it look melted on the patty. Ketchup cup is fondant, ketchup is red frosting, i then torched it to give it a glossy look.

Yellow cake for the bun, double fudge brownie for the meat patty, buttercream and fondant condiments. The seeds were made from cookie icing, and the fries from pound cake. It went over great!

A sweet husband ordered this small cake as a surprise for his wife's birthday. The cake is french vanilla as well as the icing underneath the black and white fondant. Just a quick, simple birthday cake. Bake it a great day!

2 tiered, stacked cakes covered in french pink white chocolate fondant with 50-50 mix fondant/ gumpaste poodles (made with cookie cutters) royal icing 'fur' and 'collars' with dragee studs. Bottom tier is hand scribed "happy birthday" in French with food coloring pen and black fondant drape tassels. Eiffel Tower topper is a 3d solid chocolate mold, when chocolate set , I added copper colored luster dust accents.

i baked sheet cakes then carved them into the "90" and i piped the cake using star tip, then using fondant i made a sheet of music to top it with. and i made the french horn out of icing because he used to play that instrument in the church band years ago.

This Birthday cake project was for a very special friend's party... She is leaving to North Paris as a missionary with her family this summer... so this is her last b-day in USA... Her parents and Husband wanted to make this "an ALL OUT Event!" so everything was French themed... the vanue... the food.... everyone dressed the part... it was all perfect and the cake colors matched the venue PERFECTLY!

My niece turned one and this was the cake we made her. It was a French Pink Poodle theme and I was needing to match her plates and such. Fondant accents over BC icing. Smash cake was a square cut out of the remnant tops of the layers from her cake and then icing in between each layer.
