I made this cake for my Son's 3rd birthday. I used coloured dust to give the lettering it's shading effect and cut out a series of black circles to make up the bubbles on the logo.

Birthday cake for Cahlil. He likes Humungosaur so I attempted to make one out of gumpaste - had trouble with this so didn't turn out as well as I wanted, but still happy with it. Thanks for the inspiration from all the Ben 10 cakes here on CC. :-)

Iced in just buttercream. Ben 10 is 50/50 GP and MMF. My friend ( whose son the cake was for) wanted to make the figurine for the cake so this was her first attempt. I just iced it and painted the little scene with Ben 10 aliens in the background. Little fondant balls are on craft wire.

I made this for my sons 8th Birthday, he loves G-Force and wanted the scene in the movie with the snake, since that is his favorite part. Ahead of time, I made up some crispie treats, and formed the guinea pig and snake head, then covered them in royal icing and fondant. The parachuting guinea pig part was a challenge, but I drilled into a board, putting in some dowels, and added some plumbing pipe, then covered it the best I could with clouds. :) The cake itself was chocolate with whipped cream.

This a a 9" round cake. The FBT was inspired from a RCAF WWII recruiting poster. I did the entire top of the cake as a solid frozen butter cream transfer. I made the cake for my friend who is one of 2 remaining survivors from the original 29 graduates (from the very first course) in 1940 for the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.

I had the privilege of doing a cake for Icing Smiles. The sweet little boy requested a Ben 10 cake for his 5th birthday. It was the first time I've made a fondant figurine other than an animal. My proportions were off a bit, but I was happy with how he turned out.

This is my 3rd cake ever. Cake is chocolate, filled and frosted with mocha ganache. I used the Planet Cake method for the first time...but wasn't in my own kitchen and didn't have enough time to let the ganache set properly, so it was far from perfect. But, a pregnant friend of mine wanted a cake for her boyfriend (who is in the Air Force) to celebrate his first child, and she wanted to watch and learn a little. The onesie, USAF logo and stars are fondant. I painted the words and heart on the onesie with a mixture of food color and decorating alcohol.

This is a cake I made for my son's 18th birthday. He's really into planes and grew up in Bossier City, which is the home of the B52. The cake is half chocolate, half lemon with a french vanilla and fresh strawberry filling. The icing is SMBC (my first time using it). The planes and runway/apron are fondant. Dirt is graham cracker crumbs. The border and letters are the colors of one of the B52 squadrons based there. TFL.

I made this on very short notice for a friend. He didn't give me much guidance except to tell me he wanted chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and "conservative" guy because he was in the Air Force for 20 yrs. I was going to put a chocolate flower, anemone, on top but my husband said "Absolutely not! You can't put a flower on a that guy's cake!". so this is what I came up with - Air Force symbol. I feel a little embarrassed about the design - it's not that great. But it sure smelled good! Hershey Black Magic Cake with Hershey Extra Dark Frosting and Chocolate Mousee Filling.

This is the largest cake I've ever done. I put two 14inch squares side by side. One Chocolate, one WASC. Iced with Whipped Bettercreme. I couldn't smooth it. The beret is RKT, the ribbon rack and stripes are fondant, and the scroll and nametag are GP.
Our donation to my husband's first sergeant's retirement.

Cake for my son's JROTC dinner. It was a huge hit. Air Force logo on top is carved cake. All decorations are MMF. The cactus on the back of the cake is a running joke with my son - I find somewhere to put it in all of his cakes!
