This was for a client's son, the mom and dad are big LSU sports fans. Mom is a big tennis player, so son's smash cake was a tennis ball. LSU helmet and sports balls are FBCT. Both cakes are yellow with chocolate buttercream filling.

This was a going away cake for someone in our office. Her two favorite things are the Dallas Cowboys and Mickey Mouse, so this is what I came up with. It was fun to do! It's all MMF. The helmet is 2 six inch rounds with half a sports ball pan on top, and I carved the bottom to shape like a helmet, and Mickey is half a sports ball pan with ears made out of foam core and covered in MMF. The mask on the football is fondant-it's not very realistic but I was sooooo limited on time. It was a big hit!

This was half french vanilla, half devils food with white choc. BC frosting. Sprinkles for the fans, fondant emblems, football and birthday sign with gum paste goal posts. The 10 candles I thought looked like the lights in a stadium. My son and his friends thought it was the greatest, thanks tawnyachilders for the inspiration.

I made this cake for my brother's 17th birthday. I used the new stadium pan from Nordicware, and then carved the cake to make the famous "Horseshoe" shape. I used the "Durable Cake for 3D and Wedding Cakes" recipe with chocolate cake mix. I frosted it with store-bought Wilton Decorator icing that I tinted gray, dark gray, and red. The scoreboard and field were made by my sister on the computer. To give you some idea of the scale, the "crowd" was made using Wilton colored non-pareils.

This was totally out of my box for me... I had other visions for this cake in my mind... I felt like all it needed was a tractor on top... They really liked it though and said they wanted another one for a friend... Guess we can't be happy with them all... Thanks for looking!

This is the cake I made for my nephew's football auction. I was thrilled at the way it came out. I found out the next day that it sold at auction for $225!!! The star and cowboys logos are FBCT's. At the site, the goal posts and players were added.

I had a hard time with the maroon. I have since learned to use chocolate icing first and then to add the color.

My first attempt at a "real" cake and first FBCT. My husband coaches HS football, and their first game is tonight so I had to make a cake! Definitely room for improvment, but I'm pretty happy with it for a first try.
