This is my first attempt at a full fondant cake. It is actually a practice cake for a baby shower. It is a two layer chocolate cake with buttercream filling, fondant cover and handmade fondant bow. It was a HUGE ordeal and a bit more than I had planned. Turned out OK. Can't wait to eat it!

This is one of two dummy cakes I made for an event I was asked to participate in. Josh Groban is performing tonight and a local radio station is doing a wedding theme in the VIP tent! I made cakes for tasting as well. This one was covered in ivory fondant, has white lace appliqués, fondant bow, gumpaste broach with fondant pearls. I topped it with a gumpaste lace "head piece". This was molded from lace appliqués formed over a small half ball pan. When it was dry, I added fondant pearls btwn connections.

This was fun, the bride wanted a lot of pink, the gift box concept with fondant bow and ribbon. The c / c is made out of fondant and accented with silver edibles. We used artificial flowers to match the centerpieces at the reception. Thanks to all here, you all are a great inspiration!!

This was a wedding cake I made for my brother-in-law and his new bride. They let me do whatever I wanted so I went contemporary, and they loved it. This was the first time I had ever made fondant bows, and actually the first time I had ever made a wedding cake... it was more work than I thought, but worth it.

This cake turned out HUGELY Tall - 8" base, 6" top. Customer wanted small polka dots and a bow. This was my first bow. I made one the night before and it was too skinny and thin, so I saw too much of the globby middle. this second one turned out much better. I'm quite happy with this cake.
