I made this cake in a hurry for my son. I had another cake picked out, but the night before he changed his mind and wanted this one. I had yellow football goals made from fondant, but they didn't have enough time to dry. I wasn't very happy with it, but he liked it, and I guess that's all that really matters.

This is the Groom's cake for the largest wedding I have done to date...he is an avid deer hunter. When I suggested this saying I was unsure if she would be insulted or laugh... she LOVED the idea!! YAY for humor! I left the sides rough to make it look more rugged.

This might seem strange...but this is my daughter's first birthday cake. Football field with Colts horseshoe on top. Her smash cake was half of the sports ball cake cut into the shape of a football. We went with the Colts theme because we were at a Colts game when I went into labor with her.

This cake is for a "tailgate" themed birthday party today (MSU vs. Purdue).
It is for 2 5 year olds (boy and girl). They wanted to add some cheerleaders to make it a little bit more feminine for the girl. The cheerleaders, team logos and football player are CT's. It was my first time doing a sheetcake and i had some trouble with the square corners. I had to make more cheerleaders this morning to cover up my imperfections by the corners! I need some more practice, but this was a fun cake.

Made this for a little boy who was having a John Deere party. Mom bought small JD tractors and put them on the cake so it looked like they were plowing the field.

I made this for my brother's football team. He's the coach and they had a picnic after their first game! It is completly star tipped to look a little like grass without using the grass tip. The "D" in the middle is their team logo.

My niece is a die hard Patriots fan (or Tom Brady fan...) and wanted this for her birthday. The end zone and center field decorations are painted candy clay. The rest is buttercream. Bordered with a brown puff border decorated with white laces to resemble little footballs. Hope she likes it.

I made this for a superbowl party, and it was a huge sucess! I got the idea from the last ACD magazine, and just changed it up a bit. The helmets are covered in fondant, and the guards were made from pastillage. I used the basket ball pans to acheive the round tops on the helmets.

I did cakes for little boys (cousins) that turned 1 within a week of each other. The parents did a combined party with a baseball theme...5 cakes total for that day. So much for just starting out and being a "beginner" HA!

Yellow cake with chocolate filling and chocolate butter cream frosting. Decorations are MMF and molded candy. 3D goal posts are made from plastic candy mold sticks. In retrospect, wish I had taken the time to make them edible as well.

This was a request for a little girl's 2nd birthday. That tells ya how crazy people are for OU in Oklahoma! All is BC, except the football is plastic and the trophy and balloons are candles. I did the side border by striping the bag red with white icing and used an extra large ribbed icing tip.
