I made this cake for my Dad's birthday. My mom wanted me to make one for his birthday since family was in town. He is a big OU (Oklahoma Sooner) fan as well as an alumni so I thought this would be perfect for him! He loved it! I couldn't take a very good pic of it...

I'm pulling this one out of the vault. I did this one about 3 1/2 years ago, early in my cake-decorating pursuit for two little cousins who love horses. I tried to make the bottom borders look like rope. I used too much green dye and didn't mix it well enough. Maybe someone will take this idea and execute it a little better than I did.

Of course the base is cake but so is the bat is cake as well. the ball is covered styrofoam. the flags are rice paper/on popsicle sticks

This is a birthday cake for a friend that played football at Clemson. I included Howard's Rock and fashioned fondant 'brick' around the field. The helmet and field are cake. The facemask and chin strap are gumpaste. The stand for Howard's Rock is made from rice krispies covered in fondant and the rock is 'painted' fondant.

Choc. cake with Cookie and Cream filling. For a 25 yr. old. This cake traveled the farthest of any of mine so far, I am in Saginaw, MI and this cake went to Canada. Thanks to everyone on here that helped me so much.

I made this cake for a friend's dad on his birthday. It happened to be on superbowl sunday. I used buttercream icing. The sheet cake is almond flavor cake with buttercream filling. The football is chocolate cake with buttercream filling also.

I got my inspiration from a cake done by mawtam_LA. I showed it to a friend of mine and she wanted it for her son. I put a few spins on it and here is the final product. White cake covered in buttercream and gum paste. Everything is edible except the antlers.

NFSC w/ Antonia74's RI. I made three sets of these cookies for a raffle at a fund-raising golf tournament for my son's high school baseball team and the girl's softball teams this weekend. I'm going to wrap them individually and place them on top of yellow easter grass (the school colors are orange and yellow) in a bakery box with a window.The shoes were handcut from a template I made. The wood "grain" was just Wilton's brown painted on. The idea for the ladybug was inspired by the talented TracyLH. TFL!

Made for a friend. Soccer ball is darn good chocolate cake (recipe from CC) and field is marble. Soccer player is gumpaste (made following aine2's wonderful instructions!). All letters and goal are made of candy melts. Candy cups filled with hazelnut creme and topped with soccer ball candy melts help adorn the cake board! TFL!!!

Used a stadium cake pan for this cake. I spread green icing under cake for field. People are made of fondant. I could have put more details on the stadium, but didn't have the time. This was for Superbowl Sunday.

Single layer white cake covered in buttercream "grass". The football, basketball and baseball are buttercream covered cake. I used the mini ball pan for the basketball and baseball. The mini wonder mold was used for the football.
