This cake is an adaption of a cake that arosstx did. Customer wanted a sheet cake. All decos are fondant. I tried to add BC under the top part of the dress to give the waist that flouncy/puffy look. It worked in real life, but the picture makes it look more like a shotgun wedding. Oh well. I had fun with it.

This is a bridal shower I made for my cousin and his fiance. I was inspired by the many cakes in the bridal section and decided to give the wedding dress and gumpaste shoes a try. Thanks to the person who posted the tutorial and templates for the shoes! Luckily, I didn't have to BAKE the cake myself, So I just enjoyed the decorating process. The cake is chocolate with choc mousse filling. BC icing and fondant dress. Shoes and necklace are gumpaste.

This is the first doll cake I did - I had fun with it. It's an older cake so I don't remember all of the details, but I'm fairly positive it was chocolate cake I don't usually make yellow unless someone requests it. And probably buttercream.

This is one of two dummy cakes I made for an event I was asked to participate in. Josh Groban is performing tonight and a local radio station is doing a wedding theme in the VIP tent! I made cakes for tasting as well. This one was covered in ivory fondant, has white lace appliqués, fondant bow, gumpaste broach with fondant pearls. I topped it with a gumpaste lace "head piece". This was molded from lace appliqués formed over a small half ball pan. When it was dry, I added fondant pearls btwn connections.

10' round on the bottom with the wondermold pan for the doll dress. The bride to be wouldn't let us cut up the dress part. We ate the bottom cake and she took the rest home with her!

This is the back view of the bridal shower cake I made. You might notice that the dolls body is a little offset from her dress...oops! I had stuck it down with white chocolate so wasn't able to move it without possibly ruining things! I don' t know how you others get the black on so nicely either...mine had a nasty seam down the back!

THANKS to all at CC who helped and inspired me to do this for my sister!! 16, 12, 8 and 5" cakes. Bottom tier was white with strawberry cream filling, others were chocolate with whipped ganache filling. Buttercream frosting smoothed with Melvira method, fondant details and pearls with pearl dust, gumpaste roses and forget-me-nots. Fashioned after our dresses. Not as perfect as I'd like, but I was Matron of Honor with many other tasks- and my sister loved it. Yay!

This was a really fun cake to make and then an accident with a falling dress form marred my frosting! Argh! The dress form is made out of polymer clay (gumpaste wasn't working for me) and meant to replicate the form on the invitation. The cake is a butter cake with caramel IMBC and toffee bits.

This is for my friends bridal shower (today). I am making her wedding cake also with cherry blossoms so i used that in her shower cake. The bottom is choc cake, the dress is white cake, and rolled with satin ice fondant. I painted the dress with pearl dust mixed with real lemon juice. Thanks for looking!

Strawberry cake with cream cheese icing, covered in MMF. Gum paste shoe (my first one), MMF pearls and gloves. I had a bit of a disaster with the shoe. I was trying to close the lid on the box and pushed too hard and snapped the shoe in half! I tried to stick it back together with fondant, but I'm not sure if it held up :(

10 x 15 single layer. WASC w/Bc icing. Not to good at free hand drawing. I know I could have done a better job. Cake was last minute. Customer like it. Guess that's what really matters.

I got the inspiration for this cake from sandralita, sweetresults, and kden3980! Thank you all for posting your incredible creations!
I did this for one of the women who take care of my disabled husband during the day so I can work. The dress, the first that I've done, is a replica of her wedding gown, or at least as close as I could get it. The black ribbon wasn't ornate enough for my taste, so I sewed on the silver ribbon accent! What do you think?

Made this for a coworker who will be hosting a bridal shower. The shower and the wedding will be at a winery, so she wanted grapes. The flowers in the wedding will be calla lilies, and the wedding dress was just an idea I took from the website. I had a terrible time with shaping the dress, as you can see, but overall it's ok. Dress is mostly cake covered in gum paste and painted with pearl dust. The bodice is all gum paste. Calla lilies are gum paste, and all else is buttercream.

This is for a friend's wedding shower tomorrow. The picture on the side is a copy of her wedding dress. It's a double layer 6in on top and a triple layer 9in on bottom. It's covered in mmf with red mmf trim and royal icing painted silver. There's silver scroll work on the front top of the dress also. I need practice with scroll work and I never want to make red mmf again. Hope she likes it.
