This white chocolate dove sits on top of a white chocolate disc painted red. It was placed in the center of the cross shaped cake for confirmation. I wanted to keep the cake more simple since it was for a boy.

This was my first sheet cake for a church reception. It's 2 9x13's iced side by side. I've since learned to level them better. : ) The design is an approximation of another CC cake -Thanks! I've since learned the gel transfer method, which would have made this a lot easier and neater.

This was for confirmation. My daughter was 2 months old and my husband was deployed, so I needed an easy design. It was simple, but still nice.

This was for a Confirmation reception at church. I was really happy with how the dove turned out. I drew it freehand, then filled it in with stars and shells. I was going for a look of different fonts, but, in hindsight, would have preferred to just use cursive.

This was my course 2 cake. I did all the flowers in white and pale blue and then dusted them with pearl dust. The doves are made with color flow. I was very pleased with it.

Surprisingly, I won best of show! I cannot believe it. I was in shock! This was my first competition and didn't expect to win at all. I also made 2 other cakes, one didn't make it to the trip and the other one won 3rd place (didn't make it back home). Anyways, I had to travel this cake for 5 hours in a small car. I was so nervous.

Not actually for Easter, this was for my MIL birthday this year. I used my basic cross shaped cake pan to bake the cake in. It was a pumpkin spice cake with vanilla whipped icing. The "stained glass" was created with colored piping gel. the bird, rose & all stained glass was piped free hand.

I have a christening cake this weekend and the baby was born on St Patty's day so we are working in gold and green design elements. Sounds scary I know but I will post pics when the cake is complete

A customer throwing a bridal shower this Sunday asked me to copy her really cute paper plate/napkin designs for an order of cookies. I loved, loved, loved the funky little gown, tux, flowers, doves, cake, etc...all of them!

I did a little improvisational work on them, just to make them easier. Some were a bit complex. Glad she mailed me an actual napkin, as the colours were really different from the computer pic she sent. I thought the tuxes were blue, but they were gray in person. The gown also has tiny pink specks in it that I couldn't see.

Did 70+ of them for her. Shipped them out this morning. Can't wait for her to see them!

So the little boy was born on St. Patty's day and is getting Christened this Friday. So she wanted a cake to celebrate both occasions without screaming "Irish". Seriously, she had so many things she wanted on this cake. This is the best I could come up with. Everything is cream cheese icing. The hand sculpted dove will go on top once the cake is safely delivered.

First time shot at making an open book cake...I was aiming at the old 'weathered' look...I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out; gotta work on a few minor details, but overall it came out really nice for my first time. All fondant with edible image scripture and airbrushing. TFL!!

I've never really worked with fondant before. I was inspired by a cake I saw here at CakeCentral and decided to try it out. It was a hit at church today :-)

Was asked to do a cake for a park reception, and the bride wanted silk flowers. She was carrying daisies and roses, so I made the topper and center arrangement out of the silk flowers. Can't wait until I can do all of those flowers in sugar art!!

Cake I made for my daughters confirmation group. The cross was a stencil I made and the dove was made out of fondant. I used butter cream frosting to cover the cake and spray color on top of it. My writing was really off that day.
