Last minute I was told the # of servings and made a half sheet the lady showed up and said it was too small. I guess I misunderstood her voicemail though I sent her an email confirmation. Oh well. I assured her she would have plenty of cake. At least she thought it was cute. The arc is fondant the rest is buttercream. TFL

This was a Farewell cake for my former boss. The green cake is the shape of Guam and sitting on top is the Continental Micronesia mascot - Mikey the airplane. Sea shells were made of fondant and airplane and dolphin were made from rice krispie treats. Cakes were chocolate fudge with chocolate buttercream. The whole cake was decorated with MMF.

This was what my daughter chose for her fourth birthday. She picked all the colours and all the fondant creatures, my only input was to bake and assemble! The doll was one of her little favourites!TFL

First attempt at making a whimsical/topsy turvy cake. I chose this shape because it seemed appropriate after I heard the design that the customer wanted. They wanted a blend of elements that make up the birthday girl. The girl loves to shop @ American Eagle (AE), hence the Eagle on top. She loves music, hence the notes. She wears converse sneakers, hence the logo. She loves dolphins and sea shells, hence the first tier. I hope I achieved what they wanted. Cake is Puerto Rican almond recipe.

Cake for 5 year old who wanted an underwater sea creature cake. All the decorations are chocolate/candy melts. The sand is light brown sugar. For the "creatures" I traced my son's coloring book in the melted chocolate. Some of them I put on lollipop sticks. It was really fun to make. Cake was vanillia-milk chocolate chips with chocolate hazelnut mousse filling and sugarshack's bc.

My 2 sons wanted me to make a Dolphins football cake. This was a practice cake. It was funny, because we live in Arkansas, no where near Florida, Go figure!
I am self taught, I have not ever taken any classes. I have posted alot of pictures today, let me know what you think of my cakes and other goodies.

My first attempt at a "whimsical cake". The bunny on top is made out of gum paste and is my interpretation of a Herend figurine. The dolphins are an inside joke. This cake makes no sense. It's really not supposed to!

This is the main cake for a child's 1-year-old undersea themed birthday party. (The smash cake that goes along with it is posted separately.) Iced in IMBC and covered with fondant accents. You may recognize the Sculpey mold for many of the sea creatures, but others are freehand and modeled after notmymum's cute creatures. The gumpaste mermaid keepsake sits on a fondant-covered foam rock, and was made with the help of Aine2's face and hand tutorials. Good old cookie crumbs for sand
