I made this cake for a friend of mine who wanted a princess cake for her daughter who loves cinderella. I also made princess cupcakes to go with it. It has an acutal doll in it, not the pic that you use for doll cakes. I had to build up icing to cover her waist, but overall it turned out pretty well.

This isn't my best (read post "Cake ashes" in the cake disaster forum). This was my first ever doll cake. I frosted it w/ the crusting BC recipe found on this site. I attempted to do some fancy "S's" but the frosting was too stiff. So then I tried making the "S's" into cornelli lace...fat chance...so then I tried to salvage it and try doing sotas on top...haha -this cake laughed at me all the way. I did like the hair though! I used dragees for the earrings and necklace and used edible glitter on doll

This one was REALLY fun after the disasterous Snare Drum I did yesterday (until 3:30am today). It's scratch white cake with all buttercream. I borrowed the idea from Cinico...thanks to you for the inspiration!

This was my very 1st attempt at a doll cake, as you can see I used the wrong bowl but as time passed I have tried to improve.

A customer called me for a cake, telling me to do whatever I thought was good. Her daughter loves Barbies, Bratz, polly pockets and other dolls like this. So I did this one. It's a Bratz doll, but with a kinda-Barbie look. I hope she likes it.

Made for twin girls birthday - mom said they LOVE playing dress-up with their Barbie dolls, so why not give them Barbie in a ball gown? :-)

Wonder mold on top of a 9"x2 round cake, decapitated plastic doll pick, fondant dress and decorations. I made this for a Sweet Sixteen and learned lots. My DH decided to give it a silicone job which made it difficult for me to work with the bodice (which looks too long). I didn't push the doll pick in all the way and had problems with that also. Thanks God the girl LOVED it!

This cake was made using the Wondermold pan. The bodice of the dress was made of fondant, the skirt and sleeves of buttercream. An additional 9" round was placed under the doll then trimmed with garland border and buttercream drop flowers. The 5" smash cake was iced in buttercream with a plastic glass slipper on top.

Not my best effort but I'm sure the birthday girl will like it. Something about it just doesn;t sit right with me if ya know what I mean? Maybe the colours.

This is my first doll cake and it is sitting on my table unfinished but I couldn't wait to post it. It is also my first time with MMF and what an experience. I got some ideas off here that I'm thinking of implementing but I will see in the morning what else I'm gonna too. I have lots of fondant left!

Here is the finished version of the pic I posted last night. I wanted to keep the bottom simple (despite my husband saying the borders should have color) I am in love with fondant now. The skirt is carved from 4 round layers and her skirt, bodice, gloves, earrings, and pumpkins are all MMF. The roses and sheet cake are buttercream. She's not leaning, it's the picture angle.

this is a buttercream cake with a baby bratz doll topper. My 5 year old was insistant that I buy a doll and not do a BCT. I used the grass tip to do the border to look like the dolls blanket.

got the idea from one of our members. This was for my mom who's bday is on the 30th. This is the first cake I ever made for her, as I've only been decorating less than a year. She wanted a doll cake with a fall/halloween theme. Thanks for looking.

Based on Greek mythology, this cake is four layers of chocolate cake coved in Satin Ice fondant and entirely edible except for the spear base. The marble floor and ruined column are hand painted Satin Ice fondant with Luster Dust accents. Your critique would be greatly appreciated.

This doll was made as a display for the Chocolate Festival in Norman. I was judging, so I couldn't enter. It was made with white chocolate fondant and white chocolate and dark chocolate candy clay. It was the first doll I had made besides doll cakes with dolls stuck in the cake.

This birthday girl has invited her favourite Barbies (and Ken) to her birthday party. Everything on the table is edible, including the plates which the food is served on. The ottoman which the dolls are sitting on are fondant covered cakes.

Mini paper bags were made to keep surprise gifts for the birthday girl. Some of the gift parcels were cakes too.

I made this for the daughter of my best friends birthday party.
St's sponge cake with fresh strawberries and chocolateganche in it. All covered in SP.
Roses and leaves in SP.
I've learnt my lesson from previous dollcakes that you just have to do as many roses as kids on the party or more, cause inevitably they have to have at least one rose each. So this one has 32 of them.

This is a 1/4 sheet cake. I've recently starting selling my cakes. I think the writing on this is HORRIBLE, but was afraid to try and fix it for fear of creating a bigger problem. Hope the mom is satisfied with it. I know I'm my toughest critic. The image is a BCT. Sprinkled some cake glitter around border to add sparkle.
