This is a doll cake I made for a 4 year old little girl. I posted another picture, but decided it needed a little more decoration, so I added some royal icing flowers.

This is my first paid cake! I made this for a girl at work who was leaving, and everyone said she was a "girly girl" so I thought a pink, frilly doll would be appropriate. She just loved it. French vanilla cake filled with black raspberry preserves for the bottom two 9-inch rounds and french vanilla cake for the wondermold. All buttercream. The hat is the top of a parasol that I just tied a ribbon around.

This was done for a 1 year old. The dress was done in the bell mould and the icing is buttercream. I was not too happy with the top of the dress. I would have like a smoother look. It was only after the picture was taken that I noticed the top of the dress. Oh well, next time.
The client loved the cake.

mmm, I hope that some day I can look at this picture and laugh at my not so smooth mmf. Thanks to suzannetherlands whose doll pan I kindly borrowed! Instead of dowells I used chocolate sticks. On the doll I used green bc - on the green layer I used pink bc. It díd look a bit psychedelic, but hey - my daughter and her friends loved it!

I loved how this one turned out. The top is MMF and the skirt is all BC. If I had more time I would have figured out some sort of wings for her.

This is a cake I did for a friend's granddaughter. I did get some help from my wife with styling the doll's hair. My camera died so I did not get a pic before I got it in the box. Thanks to many of the pics on the site that provided some inspiration for the final design. Everything is done with BC.

Bottom layer Choc w/choc frosting and BC accent. Doll is Yellow cake w/BC.
I had to raise the doll and used the stacked construction because her feet were coming out the bottom of the cake board! I like the way it made he look like she was walking across the ground.

I made this cake for my Goddaughter's birthday, she had to have a cloe cake. It was half chocolate and half French vanilla with chocolate mousse filling. It was so good, the semi-sweet mousse really cut the sweetness of the BC icing. I will be doing that again for sure. I got the decorating idea for this cake from this site. This is the best website, thank you for your ideas.
