This cake was done for my son's 3rd birthday. This was a picture I took before the last details were added, but nothing really significant. Despite the fact that you can see white still at the bottom, and I didn't have enough time to think about how to connect his "head" to the "body" I was very pleased with the outcome and everyone seemed to love it! Yay for me! Marble cake w/ cookies and cream filling. Buttercream frosting w/ royal icing decorations.

My son wanted this cake to take to school for his 5th birthday - he hasn't seen it yet. He is really fussy about the detail so I hope he likes it.

I made this cake son's 3rd birthday. The top cake is an 2-layer 8 inch round and the bottom cake is a single layer 10 inch. i used wire ribbon around the edges to give it the checkered flag look and iced the cake in buttercream. The black road was made with black sugar sprinkles. It was fun to decorate and the friends and family loved it!

Someone requested my Snow White cake but with a drawf. This one was not as easy. The color flow cake topper broke right as I laid it on the cake. I tried to repair it the best I could. There just wasn't enough time to make another one. I don't think I will use color flow on a cake topper this big again.

My son's 5th birthday, since I had already done one cars cake (for my son's best friend) I had to do something different. Chocolate and vanilla cakes iced in buttercream and covered in crushed nilla waffers and brown sugar (through a strainer) The cars are matchbox type cars, the saguaro cacti and sage brush are made from royal icing the barrel cactus are buttercream, the rocks in the sand are clumps of brown sugar, the cars logo is a key chain, I was going to make a chocolate transfer but ran out of time.

My 4yo wanted Tinkerbell, Butterflies and Flowers on her cake this year. She was oh so happy to see this tower of cake, cookies and icing. We had a Tinkerbell Garden Party and all her guests had seconds on cake! I made extra butterfly cookies to send home as goodies. The Tinkerbell topper played fairy music and spun around. It was "the best cake ever!"

Nephews birthday cake, he even drove McQueen on the road! 8 in. yellow cake, chocolate frosting, fondant/gumpaste accents. McQueen is a toy. I have not seen the movie so I believe my imagination was a little limited but Nathan loved it, so I do too.
