Chocolate rum cupcakes topped with chocolate ganache and piped chocolate decorations. Melted white chocolate was used to make spiderwebs, and black modeling chocolate, dark chocolate, and red candy melts were used to make the black widow spiders. Recipe available on my blog.

Base is a 13 inch caramel mud cake with caramel ganache, white chocolate chards and curls on top, with a deep blue ribbon. The top is a croquembouche (of course!) with 160 fresh profiteroles filled with vanilla bean creme patissiere and all stuck together with toffee, then decorated with spun sugar and deep blue fondant blossoms with silver cachoux. The reception was held beachside and the weather is humid at present coming into summer, so not ideal weather for a 'bouche. Thanks for looking!

A simple strawberry and chocolate birthday cake. It's covered in dark chocolate ganache and chocolate-marshmallow fondant over it. Buttons are also made with fondant.

Inspired by the Coffee Mate creamer, these three flavours seem to go so well together! Dark chocolate peppermint cupcake, with coffee buttercream, a chocolate-covered espresso bean, and an old fashioned peppermint stick.

Two tier chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream covere in fondant. The figures are toys. For all of you diehard Star Wars fans who want to say "There are not 7 episodes!", I know! We had a comment on that at the party. But the birthday boy turned 7 and that is what he got! I have to admit, Star Wars cakes are tough to do. There are so many directions that the cakes can take.

9x13 carved into uniform shape. Covered in MMF with fondant accents. Used pearl dust mixed with vodka to paint on silver trim color. Gumpaste Hibiscus.
