I made this cake for my old third grade students. It is a white sour cream cake with almond buttercream. I would like to thank all of the decorators who have created crayon box cakes. You were an inspiration for this cake. Any comments would be appreciated.

These were made to go w/ the Elmo cake. I cheated and bought the toppers from the cake decorating store, but I still love them! I think they are too cute for a kid's party.

This was a 3 tier marble cake one layer with chocolate buttercream and the top 2 with regular buttercream.. I had a really hard time feeling completely done with this cake, even when it finally all together. I hope you all like it but if you have any helpful ideas please share.

My dd loves Elmo, Dora, & Veggie Tales equally, so all 3 were incorporated. Bottom is a 12" dummy & I'll buy tappits before shaping letters & #s again!. Middle is pb fudge & banana cake--there is a bow on the backside (suppose to be in front but b/c of lack of sleep I messed up). Ship is caramel & vanilla cake. Fondant accents on bottom 2 tiers. Top is covered in 1/2 chocolate leather; 1/2 MMF; fondant waves. Masts were pretzels, wafter cookies & gumpaste sails. My brother apparently can't take a straight pic! My camera was in the car at the time. I love the outcome, but long hours of laboring love it was!!!!

This was made for a friend's art-themed birthday party. The box is two 12x15 layers, carved on one side for the crayons. The lid, flaps and black on the crayons are fondant, the rest buttercream. The crayon tips are ice cream cones. It was a pain having to mix all those colors, but lots of fun. Thanks for looking! :)

The first Elmo cake was such a hit I had to make another.... So here it is! I did a lot of changes, like elmo popping out of the cake, the letters and numbers are smaller, but more of them, and the crayons are a little different too. I also changed the bottom layer so it had 3-D tree trunks, and make icing tree tops and icing clouds. I felt the icing gave it more of a realistic look. The entire cake is fondant or icing, except the yellow pieces at the top those are 50/50 fondant/gumpaste.... The cake is yellow cake with a simple white vanilla/almond icing. Please tell me what you think?

This was the first time I made cookies on a stick. I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out. I still need LOTS of practice though. They are sugar cookies with Antonia74's ri. Each cookie was hand cut because I didn't have the cutters. I didn't realize how much longer it took, but it was worth the final results!

This will be the third time I have done this cake... This one is completely different in the fact that its all frosting and barely any fondant... i was very thankful of that, because i was very UNMOTIVATED to do this cake a third time around... well for number 3 what do you think?
