Hand sculpted MMF animals, MMF decorations. My husband had to help me design the barn because I wasn't sure what one looked like, lol. This was really fun to make. Again, I was inspired by another cake here on CC.

This was my first paid order. A friend of my sister likes my cake recipe and ordered 'anything' as long as it was the right flavor :) She loves cows, and I had some left over flowers and bows from my baby shower cake. So here's what came out :)

Farm cake done for a one-year -olds birthday. I can't begin to tell you how much work went into this cake (sometimes it sucks to have friends that ask for cakes!). All the animals & veggies are fondant. The pond is piping gel. The barn is graham crackers stuck together with royal icing, "sanded" to the appropriate shape and covered in fondant. Lots of work but well worth having a happy friend.

This was done in all buttercream for my uncle's 60th birthday. My aunt threw him a surprise party and had a sign out in the front yard that said "Holy Cow, Jerry's 60" and there were 60 cows in the yard. I made the cake to go with the theme.

This cake was so fun to make! It was a chocolate cake with buttercream. The star is peanut butter candy pieces that I melted down, added yellow food coloring, poured into a Martha Stewart's huge copper cookie cutter & sprinkled with gold luster dust. The horseshoe is chocolate chips melted in the microwave, poured into the shape of a horseshoe, refrigerated, then carved to shape. To give it a rustic look, I dusted it with cocoa. And the rope is fondant.

This was a fun cake to make. Made for friends of our little girl's 1st B-day. Got the call for the cake on Monday for Saturday pickup. They didn't know what they wanted only that she liked animals cows and horses. I thought I'd use this opportunity to practice making 3-D figures. The little pig is out of MMF and the rest of the animals are out of gum paste. After I made the pig I knew the others would not get dry in time just using MMF.

My friend Syn gets alot of grief over her cow spot seat covers so I thought I'd make her a cow spot cake to show her some support. MMF covered checkerboard cake. Fondant spots were rolled in. Pearls are my first so not great. Rose is gumpaste, I'm just starting to learn gumpaste too!

This was the first time I tried sculpting anything in fondant. I used Wilton's ready-to-use fondant. I could never have done it without the inspiration I find here at CakeCentral.

I made this cake for a friend of mine who collects cows. I intended to put both the fondant cows on top of the cake, but I made the cake too small and couldn't get them both to fit properly. OOPS! So I had to settle for putting just one cow on top. The cake is covered in buttercream with black fondant spots and the "grass" is buttercream also.

I made this cake for my father's 70th birthday last weekend. It is a journey through the four states that he has lived in - starting in Wisconsin, California, Alaska and then Maryland. The postcards are edible images on fondant. Cake is covered in buttercream with fondant accents. I'll post some follow-up pictures of each side of the cake as you can't see everything at the same time.

So this cake is a bit busy, but the things were so cute I could not bear to leave them off. The cake is yellow with ganache filling and butttercrea,. The figures are fondant and the tractor is rice crispie with fondant. The most fun was the eggs. IT was like being a kid again and decorating. i took inspriration from several bunny and farm cakes thanks to all those!
