I was asked to make a cake for a guy that loves calf roping. Thanks to a little inspiration from another CC member, I switched the style up a little bit and came up wit this. Bottom layer is french vanilla, top is chocolate. Chocolate buttercream with royal icing cowboys and calf. I was so excited that my transfer came off in one piece. I was so scared that it would break that I made an extra just in case. Now I have an extra!!! Anyhow, thanks for looking!!!

The cuts of beef cookie was another joke cookie for my Dad's Grilfriend, they are a bunch of jokesters like me. they have no clue the "joke" cookies are included in their order of real cookies.

This was for a little girl turning 3, who is a daddy's girl and a farm girl. She has a favorite cow out in the pasture and this is what she wanted for her birthday cake. BTW--Cow's name is Bubblehead, thus the title.

I got so much inspiration from looking at others' barnyard cakes! Buttercream iced with 50/50 fondant and gumpaste for animals. Gumpaste picket fence (could have used a few more pickets!). This was actually my first cake that I felt really happy with and could see the good vs. all the flaws!

Chocolate cake with Chocolate buttercream and peanut butter filling. The cow is a picture i drew and then i just did a FBCT of it. I goofed up on this cake big time! set my template on the cake and carved arounf it then did the FBCT w/o thinking of flipping the image so it would match up with the cake...you can tell from the pic that the cow is backwards on the cake. But customer didn't care....oh well

This was for my daughter's 3rd birthday. She loves the Toy Story movies and specifically requested a Jessie cake. Cake is 10" yellow with lemon cream cheese and strawberry fillings and 6" chocolate with ganache and cookies and cream fillings. Cake is iced in white chocolate buttercream and covered in homemade fondant. Jessie, her hat and the badge are molded from a mixture of fondant and gumpaste. Features and chaps are painted with gel food color. Cake accents are fondant and grass is piped royal icing.

Made this cake for my dear friend's 40th. She loves cows and when she was still single her kitchen was full of "cow"-things. Her other passion is chocolate. The cake is a cafe latte mousse layer on top of a chocolate mousse layer on top of a chocolate cake layer. She really liked the cake (and the little cow)! Was inspired by a little cow I saw on this website. Thanks so much for all your great ideas!

I have been dying to do a barn cake for a long time now so I decided to make it the theme for my sons 2nd birthday just so I could do it. ;)
I used the Wilton house pan for the barn and a 9x13 for the base. It is a yellow cake with BC and fondant accents. I took a few ideas from cake I saw by CustomCakesBySharon, DianeLM and mariak, THANKS!

This cake was for a baby shower and the theme was pink and brown cowgirl. She knew she wanted cow spots, a rope, and a pink bandana . . . but let me do what I wanted as far as design. Love those kind of customers!!! Anyway, thanks for looking! Oh yeah, choc cake with buttercream and fondant accents. I picked up a miniature hat used in making homecoming corsages and molded fondant over it for the hat.

This cake was made for my daughter's 2nd birthday. Everything on the cake is edible. The tree and barn are made from rice krispie treats covered in fondant. My 8 year old daughter made the rooster, chicken, chicks, ducks, and sheep ALL by herself. I'm so proud of her. Best of all, all the kids got to pick and animal to eat along with their cake. I couldn't have done it without all CC's inspirations. Thanks!

These are dark chocolate fudge cupcakes with cream filling and iced in buttercream. The cow was a gel transfer from a coloring page. It was for a family reunion at my grandparents farm.

First MMF figure for my farm cake....came out pretty cute...at least the figures did...I had a 6"x9" barn on the cake and it made the cake start to sink...so I tried to shift it to one side...the roof proceeded to fall off and it smashed into about 20 million pieces....so i scrapped it and made a hideous garden...it was for a contest at work...my best friend said i should have put the broken roof on and tipped the cow and said a tornado came through! LOL:) thanks for looking!!

I made this for my husband's mother for her first Mother's Day as my MIL. She loves cows and everyone got a kick out of the cake. Made with pantastic plastic pan. Udders, hooves, and bell were made with tinted chocolate. This is my first character cake on my own.

My inspiration for this cake was from brendaanne's cake and the ducks were from milliegonza. I was glad when this cake was over. It was a big cake. It was over 2 feet tall and sat on a 20"cake board. All buttercream except the fondant animals. The barn started shifting the last 15 minutes of the hour road trip. Other animals were hidden mice and and the bird in a nest on top of the barn. Other views in my photos.

I don't suppose too many of you will have a request for one of these! This is part of a Farmer's wedding cake going out this week. The main characters are sheep but I loved making the cow best of all. There are a couple of dogs included in the design too. I'll show the entire cake once it is complete. :o)
