Made for a friend's SIL's wedding.
9"/6" iced in buttercream with fondant accents and almond/marzipan chocolate covered 'pinecones'. My first and last wedding cake - too much pressure and I'm not happy with the bow!

This is a 10 inch caramel mudcake with dark choc ganache - everything on the cake is edible - the man's hobbies were both golf and surfing so decided to try to combine the two - the sign says 'beach closed due to shark sighting' and the cake board says 'at least there's always golf'

I got this brilliant idea fron nefgaby, who got the idea from JennT. I loved it! I made the mistake of getting 10 oz cups, so I couldnt take a picture of them in one. I was suppose to get 16 oz cups. :o(

This cake was inspired by one made by Colette Peters (i love her work). All decorations were made of mmf, the top cone and tea cup were Styrofoam covered in mmf. Its one of my personal favorites, made for one of my closest friends for her alice in wonderland party

Another of my regular castle cakes but I think the background makes it look a bit nicer...also made to sort of go with the princess party theme colors (pink castle and purple accents). The only thing I really don't like is I used an aerosol can of pearl dust instead of my airbrush and I felt it went on terribly uneven and heavy....I guess I can say I meant it that way. Oh well. Anyway cake is buttercream with impression mat bricks and turrets are ice cream cones coated in melted candy. Fondant accents and flowers.

Here it is CC members...this is my finished product from the forum. They loved it!! It was my second attempt at a speaker. Thankfully I had plenty of time to start over. Rice krispies for the ball of the microphone so they could pick it up. Sugar cone for the handle. The 'floor' was such fun to make, my first time covering a cake board!! :O)

Thanks for looking and God Bless!

I got this idea from a photo posted by nefgaby, so thank you very much for the wonderful idea! I used candy hearts and valentine's smarties in the bottom of the cup and used heart shaped lollipops and heart sprinkles to complete the top. So these are a little different than nefgaby's but the base is certainly the same. These were a HUGE hit with the kids are my son's daycare. Thanks again nefgaby!!

This is my take on a few cakes I found images for. The accents are made out of fondant. The fondant worked best with crisco.

I just started playing with these last night, and I'll definitely be changing a few things up (like the popcorn in the popcorn box and smoothing out a few of the lines) but overall, I was pretty happy with them. I got the idea for these cookies from FLICKR artist CookieArtisan, but put my own spin on them. These are all hand cut, which is why the edges are still a little rough.

The cake is 3 different flavors, dirty iced with butter cream and then wrapped in ice blue fondant. The pine cones are made out of 2 different shades of brown fondant / gumpaste (half / half mix). Some of the cones were trimmed later with white royal icing to give the appearance of snow. The branches are wrapped wire, brushed with CMC and then dipped in sanding sugar.
