Cake is 9x13 yellow cake filled w/vanilla bc frosting and fondant covered. Screen is a laminated photo of birthday person's actual screen saver "glued" to foam core board using piping gel, then covered with fondant. Keys are all fondant.

To "attach" screen, I inserted 3 dowel rods from the bottom through the length of the foam board. I left just enough sticking out to insert into the cake.
Screen was measured incorrectly, so it's a little disproportionate to the cake :-

This cake was for a friend whose two children have the same birthday as him, and his dad whose birthday is a few days before. Thanks to the suggestions given in my forum post, couldn't have pulled this off without you guys! Each side of the square cake was decorated for their individual interests. Buttercream frosting with fondant accents.

Cake was personalized for the birthday girl. It had a lot of elements on it - carved LV pocketbook, chanel compact and lipgloss, ipod touch, blackberry, (both were edible images on fondant) rainbow heart, camp emblem where she works and a Mac Computer (rice krispy treats). Thanks for looking.

I should put this cake under cake disasters! EVERYTHING that could've gone wrong did! But overall, I guess it came out ok...plus it was FREE! My mom's co-worker was retiring and my mom asked me to make something...so how do you charge your own mother, right?!! Anyhow, they were all pleased with it, and maybe it is just one of those that most people won't notice the flaws...well...I'll just keep telling myself that! ;)

The client provided the photo. She wanted to incorporate iCarly somehow so took a photo of her daughter wearing their t-shirt. Screen is not edible. Cake is Vanilla with Chocolate Ganache filling.

This was a 40th birthday cake for our IT director. I took photos of his desk which is covered with equipment and food as he is always hungry! He has trouble with his back so uses a ball instead of a seat - thankfully! He often kicks off his shoes at work so I made some Crocs. Lefthanded - hence the position of mouse and mousemat. Desk from pastillage - all other items from gumpaste. Keyboard was too small to model so printed a picture and glued it on the shape.
