7x11" cake trimmed to purse shape and iced with buttercream. Pattern was drawn on cake and filled in with chocolate buttercream. Pink fondant trim and handle with 2 little gold dragees! This cake was a major pain and took forever, but it turned out pretty cool!

This is another cake that isn't my original idea - it's margery's (whose is so much better!). This week I took on more than I could handle and I just couldn't take the time to add all the little extra's I hoping to: Toys, bottle, etc. I was so behind I didn't even quilt the baseboard which I think would've helped a ton.
The other cake I did this week was basically six cakes in one--I was naive when I said, "Sure! You can have six different flavors!" Never again, unless I charge extra.

This cake was for CC's heavenlycakes! She made my baby shower cake last year and drowve down to NYC and this year it was my turn to drive up to Albany! This mother to be however wanted the shower to be all about her, so I created a version of a Coach bag to suit the occasion. She is a Coach fanatic and I'm sure her handbags will be carrying baby things in the near future! Lulu the lamb was made of fondant, and dusted with tinted cornmeal.

Customer brought me a picture of the purse her daughter wanted for her birthday. Instead of the purse we made her the purse cake! All iced in b/c with fondant straps and details. Everything is edible except the gold rings which I didn't have enough time to make.

This was my DD's 3rd bday cake (our 1st princess cake!). It's a 12" WBSC with marshmallow
filling covered in fondant. Cinderella was my 1st fondant figure - I've got work to do, but I was OK with the results. Chocolate candy rocks w/RI grass as border. Pretty happy with this one!
Coach in RKT covered in RI, then fondant.

Hmmm I like Louis Vuitton better! I need to come up with a stencil for this one, this hand-drawn stuff has gotta go. Plus this was a bad cake weekend...I went to take this out of my fridge and the shelf above it clipped the handle and totally decapitated it. I got desperate and tried fixing the strap with super glue (yes with proper warnings!) and also some pink royal icing I had on hand, not sure if it survived. Did give small refund but had already undercharged!

My sister requested a coach purse cake for her birthday...I had never made a purse cake, and this was only my second time working with fondant. I wasn't sure I liked the way it turned out, but other people just love it.

Done for a mom's birthday who loves coach bags and red. Had trouble finding a doable bag that had red in it so I altered the Carly bag to have a red handle. All MMF with a carved caked from a 11X13. TFL!

This was made the same day as my dad's 60th B-Day Salt Lake City cake. My parents' b-days are a week apart, so they each got a cake when I visited. This is a white cake covered in fondant (my 1st!) painted with lemon extract and pink luster dust. I made a stencil and just dabbed the color on, then went back with a tiny brush to fill in. The zipper is painted with gold luster dust. This is my 1st fondant cake and purse cake- it took forever!
