So I'm in my third week at my wilton class nad I didn't like the clowns. I was looking in the book wondering what else I could make with the clown body. They looked like tree trunks to me so that is what I tried. The leaves didn't turn out great but I had a blast making it. My class is so much fun.

My teacher asked me to make a cake for the class after showing her a picture of the first cake I made. She absolutely loved it and so did the class. ( It didnt look messy like this, I took this pic when I was done putting the flower on...so the powdered sugar was still there. )One of my friends said it looked like a hawaiian flower. lol This is my second time making a cake using MM Fondant on chocolate cake. hope you like it.

I made this cake for a baby boy shower. I free-handed Pooh with buttercream. I got "off" a little on his hand...so I added the hearts to look like he was blowing kisses.

This is my course 3 cake 1. It was fun. I had some issues with the bow. As you can see it isn't perfect but I don't care really. It's a first try. I learned that tin foil isn't a good thing to use to hold the bow up wile it dries. :)

My mother's birthday is the day after my cake final, so I want to give her the cake. Her favorite color is purple. This is my second attempt at fondant roses. Any tips are welcomed. :) These are witht he 5 petal cutter for the Wilton class. I have been letting the layers of petals dry before adding the next layer. That has been easier for me, until i get the hang of it.

Course 2 consists of building royal icing flowers and colorflow birds. On the last night of the class, we bring in a cake and learn to apply the basketweave technique. We learned to surround the bottom of the cake in a rope design. I trimmed the top of my cake with reverse shells (kind of). Then we applied the royal icing flowers and birds to the cake. My colors were brighter than I would have preferred. In fact, they reminded me of cakes I used to get from K-Mart.
