Thank- ccer's for all the inspiration. Special thanks to wendy1273 and Ksabatano for helping me with directions! Bottom cake is 2 layer 9 inch and top layer is wondermold on top of an 8 inch. Buttercream with fondant details. Animals are edible image on "gumpaste." Glass vase in midle to help support with dowels. Dowels are wrapped in ribbon. I had the cake on a turn table so it would spin around. The clown cake is a 6 inch smash cake-wilton idea! Lots of pixie dust-I soo wish that stuff photgraphed well

I made this for my sons' Birthday party, last Sunday. The clown was from a Nicholas Lodge book, and gave me headaches. So did the cake. But my boys loved it and so did the guests, I even got thanks and hugs from some of the kids "for making such a beautiful cake". That made it all worth it.

Again, this is a cake I copied from one I saw here on CC. I'm getting to be a pretty good copy cat. ;) The blue fondant on the top half gave me problems. It dried out way too fast so I didn't have a chance to finish smoothing it out before it started to crack. I made it work anyway. This was my first cake for a "customer" (I didn't charge her).

Smash cake is made from 4 cupcakes. I leveled off the cupcakes and stacked two, one on top of the other, tops together. Placed both sets of cupcakes side by side, touching. Covered in BC. Smoothed icing with viva paper towel method. Used ball tool to make indentions. Peanuts are made of peanutbutter and cornsyrup. The smash cake turned out easier than i expected.

This cake was for the opening night of the local prep school's play, JB. Based on the story of Job, this play takes place in a circus tent and is narrated by a balloon vendor and a popcorn vendor. I learned how to do the cup cakes from this site. If you've read or seen the play you will be able to recognize the figure referrences. This cake was a huge hit and would make a great birthday cake for circus party.

This is a birthday cake I made for a little boy. I baked sugar cookies for the balloons. The side of the cake are combed and the yellow is done with a tip #12 by just squeezing and swirling around.
