This was a super fun cake to do. Carriage is a sports ball cake, horses and wheels are cut out cookies with royal icing, and little princess dolls are from Toys R Us

This cake was tricky only because it was a "Boston Creme Cake" recipe and the pudding middle made the cake a bit unstable to decorate. The refridgerator was my saving grace. The baby, teddy bear and the blanket are all marshmellow fondant - recipe I found on this website.

Cinderella's Carriage is made using the sports ball, covered in buttercream with MMF and rolled buttercream accents. The people/animals are all purchased at the Disney store.

Baby carriage from Wilton level 2 class book. Buttercream with royal icing daisies (cake sparkles in the centers) and color flow face. The book has it in blue but the baby was a girl, and I figured with a pink background the little face wouldn't show as well. Also, this picture is not very good, for some reason it has a "yellow" tint, but the cake was more pastel-like, not neon-like :-)

Yellow cake with Creme Brulee creamer in place of milk. Filled with apple pie filling and covered in buttercream, for my sisters baby shower. It was so good, everyone loved it! Reminded me of caramel apples.

OK, this was supposed to be a mother pushing the carriage but Color Flow does not like Houston humidity and mom was decapitated. Luckily the carriage worked! The rest is buttercream on a fudge chip cake with cherry filling.

I made this cake for a friends baby shower. The cake is a white cake w/ half bc and half chocolate ganache filling. The other cake is a single layer with regular buttercream. I used crusting bc on the carriage. With more practice, I think it will be a smoother icing than bc. The picture makes the pink icing on the carriage look much lighter than the other cake and the flowers. It wasn't that much of a different, but there was some. Crusting bc must lose it's color as it sits. Comments, suggestions wanted!!

Last cake in set of 3 (past, present and future). It wasn't a cake really....it was traditional Babka (yeast dough filled with walnut and poppy filling)

Shower cookies for a coworker who is having a baby boy. Cookies are NFSC with royal icing. The chocolate ones are NFSC with dutch cocoa added. The cookies are bite-sized. (These were my first NFSC, and first decorated sugar cookies in almost 20 years.)

I decided to try a baby carriage for my niece's baby shower. The hood of the carriage is white chocolate - everything held in place perfectly until I transported it and the hood slipped abit - which you can tell by the photo - was disappointing that it looked alittle warped. I almost cried....my niece said she loved it. The baby is fondant. The wheels are white chocolate as well.

This was the cake my mother did for my daughter 6th birthday. Wait I know this is way too much for a six year old, I agree. But her birthday is Dec. 14th. And I realized this year, the poor child has never really had a "real" birthday party. So this year Mommy & Daddy threw her a big party with Princesses and Knights and a dragon and jousting and everything, so we had to have the cake to match. I think ths is my mom's best cake! The castle is stacked styrofoam and alot nicer than the Wilton castle.
