This is just a fun cake done for a friends husband who loves playing cards. The cake is creme brulee and BC with fondant accents. The dice items are store-bought. Everything else is edible except the cards and the saying on the foam boards. Enjoy!

A co-worker asked me to make a small cake (for like 5 people!) for her friend who went to Vegas for the weekend to get married. This is what I came up with. It is white cake iced in BC & decorated with real poker chips, dice & playing cards. Originally I was going to be paid for this but I ended up giving it to her for free since she traded Saturdays at work with me so I could be with my friend who came in from out of state! We both benefited from this creation! She loved it!!!

I made these for my son who saw Ratatouille movie with me recently. NFSC cookie and Antonia74 icing. I also use food color pen for lines and words for recipe card. I forgot to add Remy's white whiskers, but my son ate the cookies soon after I took this picture - LOL. It was fun making these.

Texas Hold'em poker cake for my brother's birthday - he loved it!! My husband plays poker too, and helped me select the right cards for a tense "show-down" for the last two hands of cards!! Cake is half chocolate-fudge, half fudge-marble - with chocolate buttercream middle and vanilla buttercream over the rest. All fondant decorations, with exception of the beer can candles!!

Close up of a cake I did for my hubby's office. It is a piece of luggage filled with the stuff you're not supposed to pack. The cake is covered in Satin Ice (which I don't think I'll work with again) and the accent pieces are made of fondant. I don't know if I was more tickled over the prescription botte or the keys next to it.

This was a cake I made today for two woman that work at the Children's Hospital in Denver... their employees ordered the cake to celebrate both their birthdays. They had no ideas except that htey wanted the logo...and it to have pink (and look like it was a card). which made it pretty difficult... i'm not thrilled with the result.. but hopefully they liked it! Thanks for looking!

This is has a white and a chocolate layer, buttercream, chocolate and fondant accents!

Done for a 21st birthday, customer wanted a cake that expressed her son's love of poker. Everything seen in the picture is edible... including the money & the cards - 'Straight Royal Flush'. Customer was blown away as she couldn't believe it was cake, and kept asking if her son had to cut it & how to cut it. I was really pleased with the finished look. All modelling done in fondant, satin silver luster dust used on case.

This was for a 50th birthday for a woman who LOVED to play spades. The recipient was very clear on how she wanted it decorated... my first cake that I was frustrated on the design about because she didn't want to hear a single suggestion. It still came out ok I think.
