This is my first purse cake. I made it for a bake sale benefiting the Susan G. Komen foundation. I like how the purse itself turned out....don't like the letters or ribbons. Next time I'm definitely going to paint instead of piping! My handle also started to crack (50/50) I guess I need to let it dry longer?

A co-worker helped me make these cupcakes for the bake sale to raise money for the Susan B. Koman's Cancer Awareness Day at work. They were a big hit at the bakesale, they sold out immediately! People did not believe we made them, they thought we bought them because they were too nice! What a great compliment! The pink ribbon medallions were made of fondant.

This is a sad cake, not sure where it should have gone. It is for a lady who passed away on Thurs from her second go of cancer. I put the small pink ribbons on the corners and the pink Daffodils are bc she loves the flower and pink for the cancer aw. I was trying to keep it tasteful, I hope I did. TFL

Vanilla sheet cake w/buttercream icing & fondant accents. Donation for fund raiser. I should have made the writing on the ribbon another color. I thought it would be darker when it dried.

Critique subgroup member: A friend at work is running in the Breast Cancer 3 Day and had a pub crawl to help raise money. I was asked to make a cake that looked like a female and had the following saying "Thank you to our huge supporters". I had a ton of fun making this cake and everyone loved it.

I carved the cake and then covered it with Buttercream and then mm Fondant. All of the roses and bow are modeling chocolate. The stripe around the top of the cake is fondant. This was my first time working with modeling chocolate and I love the stuff... easy to make too!
