Fun cake to make! Buns are 9 in. contour, burger is 9 in' round. Fondant lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. Beer can was made by baking in two Bush's Beans cans, covered in fondant and sprayed with silver luster dust. Cake was beer flavored and yummy! Tasted like banana bread.

Our kids' school has a cake day fund raiser every year. I like to send in a fun cake to bring in the tickets so I made this one. My own kids tried to win it back but didn't!
I'm not a fan of fondant so I put a large smear of orange buttercream icing in the freezer and once frozen, cut out a square to place in the burger for the cheese. Once it softened it fell over the edges pretty nicely!

Another batch of cheeseburger cupcakes. Made with WASC this time, I like the color of the "buns" better. Still trying to perfect the rounded top.

this was more difficult than i imagined. my main inspiration was yourstrulytx's burger cake, obviously i wasn't able to take it to that level, sorry. but given that i almost gave up while working on this, and still managed to finish, i'm glad with how it turned out. especially since the people not part of our party kept on eyeing the cake! (there were even some strangers who asked to taste the cake!!! maybe they thought it wouldn't taste as good as it looked! at least i was confident about the taste :)

Dark and decadent chocolate cake covered with RUMMF with chocolate rice krispie treat hamburger. Sesame seeds, cheese and lettuce are fondant. Corn on the cob is shaped rice krispie treat, first covered in fondant then buttercream kernels applied. Sorry for the bad pic, but it is scanned. I did this at our vacation home and didn't have my camera, so my sister in law was kind enough to give me one she took.

1st order from a non family/close friend. Chocolate cake with banana creme filling. Double Double is fondant, arrow and palm trees (signature icons for the restaurant) are white chocolate. As I was doing the red line boarders my 2 year old ran up and hit me from behind - oops! They were so happy with it they ordered another one for a birthday in February that will be catered by In-n-Out.

someone ordered for a friend at work. All bc except for cheese. Cheese is
modeling chocolate. no one could figure out what the cheese was. :-) The
person who's birthday it was wouldn't cut it. I've done burgers before but w/o cheese. Thanks for looking.

My niece came home to visit for a couple weeks and wanted to learn about making cakes. We spent the day Saturday working on these for the late Dec & Jan/Feb birthdays and her parents anniversary family gathering. I will post individual shots of each cake as well. Thank you to all the CCers for posting their cakes for inspiration!
