Royal Icing piped from parchment bag (first for me!) with brush embroidery leaves in green, tiny push flowers brushed with pink and scroll work. Gum paste roses, hydrangias. Cakes were French Vanilla but the 12" was tinted pink and filled with raspberry filling, the 6 and 9 were tinted electric green and filled with lime filling.

Made for a sunflower-themed wedding shower. This is my first attempt at brush embroidery. WASC cake with IMBC frosting and gumpaste plaque. For the board, I used a gumpaste cutter to press impressions into the fondant that was covering it.

This was a birthday cake for a young girl who wanted her Karate club logo and Air Cadet squadron crest on a very "lacey and feminine" cake. Tall order combining those elements, but I think it came out okay!

For a little girl who loves the Wizard of Oz. Two tiers of dark chocolate truffle cake with milk chocolate ganache and strawberry compote, covered in sky blue fondant with cloud brush embroidery. The bluebirds were sculpted out of 50/50 fondant and gum paste, with gum paste poppies, and a pair of gum paste ruby slippers. I used "classic red" disco dust to make them sparkle. The rainbow swag was made of fondant brushed with luster dust. Thank you for looking!

This is a 10, 8, 6 inch cake my sister and i made for a friend of hers who is having a baby. The 10 inch is covered with Duff chocolate fondant, which is kind of soft and greasy to work with but taste amazing. The 8 and 6 inch layers are covered with wilton fondant which taste ok now. We used the amazing chocolate cake and WASC recipes with raspberry flavored buttercream. Used a chocolate frosting to do embroidery, and extruder to do the rope border, duff metal curl wires and a plstic baby topper covered with a patchwork fondant blanket. I was not sure how this one would come together but overall I am pretty happy. I think we did ok for a couple of gals who just do this for fun every once in a while!

I made this cake for my cousin's birthday. My first time doing brush embroidery, my first time making gumpaste flowers (I guess these would be fantasy flowers- I like the look of the anemone, but I wanted a bright pink flower to pop against the BW). Also my first time doing quilting and my first time baking a 16" cake!! Many firsts on this one, it was a lot of fun to make and I'm very happy with the result :)

Here's my little girl's Fancy Nancy cake! Also my first experience with SPS, though it wasn't a true SPS cake through and through (bottom tier was a cake dummy, and very top tier was 4 inches and I didn't see a plate that size :) ). The very top tier is the messy "hairdo" that Fancy Nancy always fills with butterflies and flowers and glitter and other pretty sparkly things. SO much fun to make!!!! I loved it that there was no way to overdo this cake ... when my elaborate royal icing tiara fell apart, I threw a simple fondant cut out one on the "hair" and mounted the highlights of the tiara on top. Alternating layers of raspberry and blueberry with strawberry and cream fillings in the corset tiara; peaches and cream for the other two tiers. Special thanks to Peechekeeno and Grammasue for their awesome help with the tutu!

Cake was covered in ivory fondant and decorated with green brush embroidery to match the wedding invitation. The bride just wanted us to use a darker green than was on the invitation. Brush embroidery done by piping with a tip 1 in royal icing and brushing the icing inward.
