A friend had been searching all around the local bakeries to have a Mario Brothers cake for her twins birthday with no luck. I had a full work schedule and didn't think I could do it, but decided to give it a try-this is the result. When she got home with the cake she called and the boys each got on the phone and Thanked me for their birthday cake, they were so excited when they saw it she said their eyes were as big as golf balls-this is what makes it worth losing sleep over trying to get Luigi's head on straight! LOL! Figures are my recipe for RCT, everything covered with mmf, cake was covered with ganache first, trying it as I've read on here that it works better than BC. All chocolate cake, bottom is 8"-2 layer, tube is 3-4" rounds with 5" top. I learn everytime I make a cake like this!

Cast Party Cake for high school cast of "Seussical". Cake measured 3 1/2 feet tall and was cut and torted to look like it was leaning back and forth. Horton Cake topper is RKT covered in candy clay. Wickersham Brothers climbing up the cake are fondant. Hand is RKT. PVC support structure is covered in silver where exposed to make it look like a machine. Pictures around bottom tier are painted on rice paper. Biggest cake I've ever done. The kids reactions made it all worth while

A Jonas Bros Guitar cake for my niece. She initially wanted a dolphin cake, but changed her mind, so I added a little pink dolphin in the corner for her. Cake was red velvet with SMBC and MMF. Accents are chocolate. Super fun to make. Thanks to all the CCers for the inspiration!! She just loved it!

My niece wanted a Jonas Brothers Cake for her 10th birthday. I had no idea what to do so I attempted my first topsy tursy cake. It didn't turn out quite like I thought it would and my buttercream started to crust. Top level chocolate and the bottom is a white cake covered in buttercream with fondant accessories.

This is my friend Tania's cake, but I did help with the exterior, and with making the Mario. She deserves all credit though, but I wanted to display her masterpiece as well. It is all done with rolled fonsant and gum paste.

8in+6in+4in round frosted with a crusting cream cheese frosting. This was my first time using cream cheese frosting, and the consistancy was close to, but not quite the same as my buttercream frosting. So it's not quite as smooth as I'd like, but I think it turned out pretty good. The keys, logo, and guitars are fondant, and the microphone is modeling chocolate. I printed a picture of the Jonas Brothers logo, cut it out, and used it as a template for cutting out the fondant with an exacto knife. Same for the guitars.
