I did this cake for my little brothers birthday... it was my first time molding RKT and I think I learned a bit... took me forever! I need advice on how to decorate small buildings and then put them on the cake without messing them up. Thanks for looking!

Ben10 cake. All buttercream. FBCT. This one was SUPER tricky. So much detail in this image. Everything was so stinkin' tiny!!! Anyway, I hope he loves it. I had trouble figuring out where to put his name. No where to put it and have it be balanced. After the fact I realized I could have put it on the side of the cake between borders. Oh well..... too late now.

I made these for my son's 4th birthday party at his preschool. I got the idea from some cookies posted on CC and then used buttercream and colorflow (spikes) to recreate on cupcakes.

I created this cake for my Lego-maniac son's birthday. It is a bostom cream cake covered with rolled fondant. I rolled fondant thicker and used a small cookie cutter for the knobs on the top of the cake for the lego brick look. My son's name is rolled fondant and I used one of my decorating tips to make the knobs. The lego block pieces are made of rolled fondant as well. As far as the Star Wars figures and ships, they are real lego pieces. My intent was to sculpt them from fondant, ran out of time.

Hi! This is a 6 and 4 inch vanilla cake with twinkie filling. The swords are made from fondant and painted with colored dust. The skull and bones were hand molded and I painted the face and cap onto the skull as well as the little triangles and knot on the side of the cap. This cake is for my Godson's 1st Birthday. This is the cake he will smash. As you can guess, his theme is pirates. Thanks for looking!

Hi! This is the other cake I made for my Godson's 1st Birthday. This is for the guests. It is a vanilla cake (1/2 sheet) with twinkie filling. Buttercream icing. Buttercream map transfer. I used the candles on the map and then decorated around them. I got the idea from this cake from LoriMc (thanks!). I loved her version so I did some changes to make it my own. Hopefully my sister will like it tomorrow. :-) Thanks for looking.

9" and 6" cakes. Did the bottom in buttercream w/ fondant stripes, top in fondant, w/ leopard print (painted). I would necessarily think of this for a boy (tried to boy it up w/ grass and rocks!), mom just wanted a zebra and leopard print for his birthday.

I must say this was a most challenging idea to come up with. This cake was for an 8 yr old boy! So I just colored it in blues. Used a pen and note pad I found as the decoration and wrote on the cake with the whipped icing in blue and white. The little boy loved it and asked his mom if Hannah wrote the note on the cake with the pen!
