This was a double layer 1/2 sheet cake for a friend turning 21. It is buttercream icing with fondant ribbon, bow, and dots. It was a lot of fun to do and she loved the bright colors.

I saw this cake on cc that had a smased storked and Ive alwasy wanted to do it because i thought it was so funny. the cake part is different as the other was a whimsical style ...i thought that gifts would be better for the occasion. these are mmf fondant covered with a fondant bow. the head was a popcornball cover in fondant. it was for a boy so i tried to use more boyish colors but still wanted it to be colorful....after i took the picture i decided to make a fondant package tag that read special delivery

Fondant bow gave me trouble and customer wanted the cake 2 days earlier (!!!!), luckily I had started it already but I had to improvise and place rose in center to cover up my boo-boo.

This was a last minute request from a friend for a double Christening of two cousins. The mothers were having a "Tiffany blue" and mauve theme, so I tried to incorporate that into the design. Bottom tier chocolate mud, top tier, white chocolate mud, covered in fondX. Bows, plaque and bears made with gumpaste and the bows were dusted in super pearl lustre. Unfortunately, I took this photo before I put the mauve ribbon around the board, and didn't take another until after it was cut!

This cake is a lot of firsts for me: first square cake, first present cake, first Viva smoothing, first loop bow, first "decorated" cake board.
Chocolate cake, mocha filling. The black frosting turned out bitter unfortunately...but the bride loved it so that's all that matters I guess!

Mini cake - 4" square. White cake with raspberry buttercream filling. Covered in MMF with MMF accents. Still trying to get the hang on working with MMF. Had several creases, but definitely better than my last attempt. Cake is displayed on candle holder. Thanks for looking and any suggestions would be helpful!

This was inspired by jdogga's present cake. I wanted to make an excuse to make it. It was the first time I made this kind of bow from fondant. I learned a lot.

This was a cake the my Aunt and I did together. She actually had toorder for it, but I baked it, made the icing, the bow, etc. She did the dots onthe top layer, but otherwise it was my cake. I was happy withthe arrangement. It was fun to have someone to talk to while working on it. It was for a bridal shower done with in the lime green and pink. The icing in all BC and the cakes are white and chocolate.

This cake was made with the 3" deep pans.Buttercream frosting with fondant leaves dry-brushed with pearl luster dust. Store-bought Wilton bow--disappointed in it. Did not show luster dust well and felt like it was made from paper.

This cake was problem after problem. I was for my best friends baby shower, thank god it was not a paying customer or I would be so emberresed. On the day of the party we were in a tornado warning, the humity was terrable and the fondant strips I was trying to put on were like mush. It was pulling instead of cutting, it looked offal. I kept kneeding powdered sugar in but it did not help, oh and I had ran out of clear vanilla and so my BC was tan instead of white. Oh well she loved it that is all that matt

This was my first try at working with fondant. It was a lot of fun... I am going to try the Marshmallow Fondant next because the prepackaged fondant does not taste very good :)

I made this cake for my best friends baby shower. It was the first time I had ever used fondant for anything other than covering the cake. I think it went pretty well. It was white cake with a cream filling. The wording says "Buttons and lace, ribbions and bows...May she be filled with grace from her head to her toes..."

I just want to make the bow!!! lol, my loops were to long I think, they wouldn't stand up on top the way they were suppose to, thank goodness I was just practicing! This was covered with the rolled buttercream, but the bow was regular fondant that I already had. Vanilla 8in and 6in cakes
