This cake looked 100 times better in person...in fact it was quite stunning. I had fun with this one. It's an old Wilton design. Cake was white almond sour cream from the cake mix doctor. Delicious! Iced with buttercream.

This is a cake I made for my sister's wedding shower. The L on the cake is for her first name. I used a pattern press for the decorations and freehanded the L.

This was my first go at Fondant - MMF. I found it easier to use than I thought it would be. The colors did not turn out as deep as I wanted.

paw print! These are for my daughter's fourth birthday party at preschool. I'm planning to serve the cake after lunch and give the children cookies to take home. The cookies are orange sugar cookies with orange royal icing. The cake is chocolate with buttercream icing.

This was my very first big cake. I made it for my 15th birthday. I did not like it so much because back then I did not know how to make fondant. At least this one wasn't that bad

This was the final cake for my advanced cake decorating class. First fondant bow (a real learning experience). It was not hard but I know some things to try differently next time. This was a fun cake to make.

This was my first time making a BCT and I made this cake just a a practice to see if I could do it. I was pretty happy with the results. I brought to fellowship after church and it was a bit hit.

This is a cut-out cake that I made for a retirement party. I used two square pans so I had two flavors. I drew out a template and cutout the cake and then outlined the design in dark grey buttercream and filled in with buttercream. The bottom border is done with a bag striped with blue and red and filled with white buttercream to get the tri-color effect.

I did these cupcakes for my nephew's 6th birthday. He absolutely LOVES spiderman. I didn't want to just use the little plastic toppers, so I decided to make webs & spiders. I bought the Wilton Spiderman cupcake liners, used butter cream icing & tried this delicious recipe for yellow cupcakes using all brown sugar & no granulated sugar.

I made this for my friend's daughters 4th birthday. After frosting the entire cake, I made my own stencil for the pony's body and used Wilton's blue spray to color it. Then I outlined all the details in black and filled everything in with a variety of tips and finished it off with a couple of cute butterflies and cake sprinkles.

My nephew couldn't decide whether or not he wanted the Hulk or Spiderman, so I told him he didn't have to decide and I managed to come up with this. It's just a 1/2 sheet cake decorated with buttercream frosting; I managed to find the little figures at a Christmas clearance sale, they were ornaments.

This wouldv'e turned out better if I'd drawn out the picture before I drew it on the cake. I still don't know how to transfer, but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. This is done freehand with buttercream frosting and a variety of tips.

After my latest class I was feeling lousy about my lack of being able to make a rose. So I made this cake with my left over icing to practice. I feel a bit better now.....but still have a ways to go.

I made this for my nephew's baptism this past weekend. Cake is Chocolate with Oreo cookie filling (yummy!). Fondant covered with fondant decorations. Fondant pearls were handmade (took forever!) and rolled in pearl dust. Painted superpearl dust on cross sections and medallion for added interest. Plain and simple! Thanks for looking :)

The peoples who ordered this cake, called me the day before and asked for help. They had ordered from another lady and she just called them and said she was sick. I took the order and sat down the night before to make this flowers. They was so happy for this one.

So, our lab tech turned 28 and I decided to make him a cake with little fire fly bugs, but my background was a soft blue instead of a dark blue. I didn't want to dye everyone's mouth in the lab, so I went for a soft blue. I guess with the soft blue, many thought the bugs were bees. Oh, well. Cake is the White Russian from the cupcake CMD with kahlua buttercream filling and vanilla buttercream to decorate.

This is one of 2 wedding cakes I made a couple of weekends before the hurricane hit us. This was a very last minute wedding cake order (1 week prior to the wedding). Her colors were light pink, light blue and white. For the cake, I used the super enhanced cake recipe from here.

I thought the idea of leaves as nameplate cookies was perfect for this time of year. The wedding's colours were silvery blue and white, so we did 2 shapes of leaves in those colours...one for men one for women.

This was a 12"x18" half white half chocolate sheetcake for an Eagle Scout celebration. It is iced in 1/2 Crisco 1/2 butter buttercream. The Eagle Medal is paper wrapped in a piece of Ziploce. Couldn't get it turned into an edible image in time.

I made this for my best friend's son. She gave me the plate and invite and gave me free reign to do whatever. I love it when people do that!! This was my first time making the little bear, glad I did a practice one first, as his head fell off the practice version! LOL

This is my last minute Blues Clues cake for my son's 3rd birthday party. I was so uninspired that I had a terrible time coming up with a design. Pressure always gets the job done! Anyway, it's devils food with BC frosting. Thanks for looking.

9 x 9 x 2 Coconut Rum Cake with Rum flavored BC for my two friends, who just gave birth to their 2 beautiful Baby-Boys. It is my first Edible Image and I fell in love doing edible Images LOL. I only printed out a 5 x 7 and used the rest of the sheet for the sides of the cake with the words "Adorable", "Lovable", "Enchanting", "Endearing"

This cake was made for my cousins halloween/birthday party. It is a vanilla cake with chocolate pastry cream and covered in vanilla buttercream. I airbrushed the color onto the cake and made the letters with royal icing ahead of time. The cauldron is made of cake and then covered in black fondant and dusted with petal dusts for the old look. The green goo is colored piping gel and the eyeballs, bones, ghosts, cat and pumpkins are made of fondant or gumpaste.
