I made this cake for my first baby shower. It was for the "Mother to Bee". I used her invitation for the colors and idea. She loved it. This was a rum cake with french vanilla pudding filling. BC does not do well in the Florida sun. Live and learn.

I tried to make petit fours without looking for instructions. This is what I got. It wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to bee. I made the bees with royal icing to go witht he theme of the shower "Mother to Bee". They were delicious and everyone loved them.

This cake was a gift for one of my best friends. It's just a single layer 6" marble cake with choc pb bc then covered in MMF and sprayed with the preval gun. Flowers are mmf. Fairy is handmade from MMF with cellophane wings I cut off an extra butterfly (I kept breaking my mmf & royal wings so I gave up!). Bees are on floral wire (stuck in coffee stirrers in cake) - wings are royal. Butterflies are cellophane - I bought those. Ladybugs are mmf. Her favorite color is purple...she totally loved it!

I made this for my office's birthday celebration. It was my birthday month, and I collect bees, so that's why I chose this. Everything is buttercream, except the bees and flowers, which are fondant with BC accents. I used the Pampered Chef small batter bowl to bake the beehive in.

Itty bitty cookies! These were made for a friend's hubby over in Iraq. His division has a 'mascot' of a bee with a machine gun - very killer bee-ish... told her I didn't think I could make them look quite so violent. They are the cutest little cookies! I ended up glueing them onto larger decorated heart cookies with royal icing for Valentine's day.

The Bumble bee says to the ladybug--"Will you BEE my LADY?"--in honor of valentines day I made this cake, and it will be my first photo on cake central. The bee and ladybug's body was made from the sports ball pan, their head from cupcakes, their features(eyes, antennas, nose, mouth, legs, wings & body decor) is made from fondant. The grass is coconut flakes with green food coloring added. The cake is a choc raspberry w/ choc rasp ganash.

This was inspired by a website someone linked on CC, sorry I don't remember who it was, but thanks! I used NFSC dough, but it didn't hold it's shape very well, you can't tell by the picture because I hid it with leaves (MMF). Gingerbread would probably work, but I hate gingerbread and can't bring myself to make it again.
