Wilton Barbie pan w/Bratz Barbie. You are never to old for Barbie (or Bratz) I made this for my own birthday party. But not without my daughters help. She provided the Brat doll & helped me with the dress ideas.

pink fondant and buttercream princess cake for my niece's 5th birthday. Instead of using a "magic" cake pan, I used my 8 cup pampered chef glass measuring bowl. Perfect!

My first doll cake, just for fun and practice. I didn't realize the wonder pan took more than a mix's worth of batter, so she's a little short...just pretend she's kneeling! (or that she has no ankles, haha!). Fondant top and skirt with royal icing flowers.

Came up with this design from the Wilton Barbie pan for my daughter's 4th birthday. I scanned the top half of the doll's body from a party decoration & laminated it so the frosting wouldn't ruin it.

I was very frustrated at not being able to get my frosting smoother for this tiered cake (for my daughter's 4th birthday) and one of my little curly Qs kept falling down (didn't let them dry long enough - an afterthought). But it turned out okay, and she and her little friends just loved it.

All in buttercream. Barbie and pegasus were frozen buttercream transfer. Barbie's features were too small for the size 1 tip, and her face was really hard to make. I thought she looked kind of weird, but I was happy with pegasus.

This is my first attempt at a shaped Barbie cake. It is a my friend's 18th birthday, and she wanted a doll cake. She looks a little like Lindsey Lohan, so that's the doll I used. The cake is a yellow butter cake with banana filling, covered in fondant.

I did this cake as a joke for a gal I work with. She never had a Barbie growing up, so I thought she should have one for her 52nd birthday. I can't wait to see how she likes it. I found a Birthday Barbie and tried to match the cake to the dress she came with. Tulle is a little hard to replicate in buttercream! The bodice is done in MMF with sugar sparkles. The rest is buttercream.

A friend's daughter's 6th Birthday cake. I didn't use the doll on a stick...instead used a real Barbie doll so that the birthday girl can keep the doll. The cake done in wondermold cracked as I pushed Barbie inside it. Tried to repair that and now the Barbie looks fat at the waist. Not very happy with it.
